In 2026, this is how women are treated for peacefully standing up for their rights. There was no way I was going to leave that stadium of my own free will. We did nothing wrong.

Pat Murphy uses climbing a mountain to explain how he wants his team to handle getting closer to its goal.
“As you get closer, you just got to keep your footing…you can’t look too far ahead. When you look up for the prize…you might step in a crack or a pothole.”
Getting close am away from the very things that put it within reach.
Players start pressing. Coaches feel compelled to say more. Everyone wants to make something happen.
Part of leading in those moments is helping people trust the work they’ve done and stay connected to what the next play (and moment) requires.
Keep the goal in view and the next step in focus.

Adam Jones reveals the blunt message Buck Showalter gave him after his first bad effort play about being who you say you are and the little things becoming the big things
“There’s two instances. It’s third day there. I hit a bullet ground ball to the third baseman. You’re get turned right in front of you, but the first baseman happened to drop the ball.”
“Does it ever look good when you’re halfway through it and you know you ain’t running hard? Never does. You’re still out, but it never looks good.”
“So after the game, he brings me in and says, ‘Hey, I heard you’re supposed to be the star here. Bleepin act like it.’ I’m like, ‘All right.’”
“It was just an extra incentive like, hey, we’re always watching. The fans are always watching. People are always watching. You’re an example. Show it. Go out there and really play as hard as you can.”
“He was so anal about being fundamentally sound. When the outfield misses a cut, it’s two bases. When the infield does, it’s one.”
“Defense was our strong suit. We played phenomenal defense and it was an attitude every single day, because you’re not going to hit every day.”
“But you can play defense every day. You can run the bases hard every day. You can do the intangibles every single day. And that’s what Buck was always paying attention to.”

With a week to reflect, I’m convinced this was the greatest moment in sports history.
A 2-star recruit leads the worst program ever to a national championship, beats his hometown team that wouldn’t let him walk on, and finishes it by running over the same guy who knocked him out is mother battling MS watching from the stands.
If it was a Disney movie, you’d say it was too much.

If science class explained everything with Midwest emo music, we would have a lot more people paying attention.
Nuclear power explained.
It’s just a fancy way to heat water and make electricity.

Wow: The legendary Tom Brady was asked if he would have stayed at Michigan in today’s portal/NIL era.
His answer is PRICELESS.

Authorities in Australia have confirmed that the two gunmen who carried out the terror attack at Bondi Beach targeting a Jewish event were father and son.
The father died and the son is injured. Islam, perhaps more than any other religion or ideology, has a phenomenon where n terrorism together. Many siblings and family members joined ISIS, and other Islamic terror groups, for example.
