@ProfBrianCox Nigel Farage I might enjoy talking to him in a pub with a pint of IPA but for him to make any decisions about our country is scary, just as I am scared that many in US are supporting Trump.

UK inflation unexpectedly rose in June to 3.6%, up from 3.4% in May, and way above BoE’s 2% target.

The rise, driven by motor fuel prices and food, underscores challenge facing Rachel Reeves.

@d0m96 @PippaCrerar The wages for low level recruitment roles are increasing but quite slowly, the reality is that companies often complain about getting bad workers, but the people high up in corporations stop efficiency because they are too focused on getting cheap workers.

@d0m96 @PippaCrerar HMRC are not helping, if you switch agencies then they will put you on 20% tax, it is not easy to be payee with multiple recruiters, but HMRC are not able to see that you can only work for one at a time. Their actions are the reason the building trade sometimes is dishonest.

End of an era! So last week I finally rage-quit my Windows11 and switched to Linux.

Win11 started to act up and lock me out of my account, trapping me in an endless "Retry to login with Internet"-loop while it was clearly online and doing updates in the background... 30 years ing it get worse by the day... I'm done with that sh*tshow!

But where to go? Well, after 11 hours trying and hacking different distros I finally settled on Linux Mint!

A productive week later, it turns out it was the best decision ever:
- A multi-GPU laptop(intel, nvidia) + eGPU(amd) in a single display manager in a Voltron like layout?! - That never worked smoothly under Win11 but here it feels normal, snappy and is super efficient?!?!

- Steam & GoG games work out of the box and run FASTER?! WTF!

- File Access & Interactions are snappy as f*ck?! Win11 wasted soo much of my time there..

Dude, my daily work feels like 20% more efficient&faster.

@Microsoft what the f*ck happened to you and your products... looks like the crowded bazaar won and I'm really happier for it.

@dazKind I tried Mint but use Pop_OS currently, want to upgrade to use latest with Cosmic.. but old mac drivers means I am cautious. You can likely use Cosmic on any ubuntu or most linux.

@dazKind It uses Iced Rust Toolkit rather than GTK or similar.

Prototyping a new roof building tool. Previously I'd auto-generate a roof for the whole building, but I decided to give the player more control over how it is generated. There are still some edge cases to fix, but it already works pretty nice!

@Nanjizal_net I'm afraid I have no idea what you mean by "pass the hex to triangle to the shader"

@lisyarus shaders low level mostly use triangles for speed? So if you take a hexagon and send it to triangle then optimise the data so triangle coordinates are shared. I am convinced it will be as fast.

@lisyarus but the gpu renders them as triangles, so are you sure :) ?

@lisyarus you can pass the hex to triangle to the shader, on the hardware side it will not impact performance?

How can we bring Justice with a system so corrupt on every level, judges, courts!

Trust the plan, God, Trump and the Q team are in full control.🫡✝️

@itsjordanclark Trump likes to make political decisions seem simple and obvious, like we can end a war tomorrow... but reality is that is a populist approach and turns out to be just bullshit, the real is more difficult when dealing with evil leaders like Putin.

@itsjordanclark America is powerful but if it makes too many mistakes under a foolish leader then it will in time loose any power over world politics. Trump has some ideals but he can't even understand basic science let alone climate change he is unfortunately a libility.

@lisyarus so a shader may get triangle date of indices that references the coordinate array.
