When asked how he knew asylum seekers were going to be living there, he said: "I think we are using the evidence of our eyes for now because of this secrecy that this Government has employed."

On this day in 899, Alfred the Great died in Winchester.

Alfred was a scholar-king who believed that literacy was essential to the strength and freedom of his people. He personally translated (or closely supervised the translation of) major Latin works into Old English so that read them.

He is the only English monarch in history to be given the epithet "the Great".

“I desired to live worthily as long as I lived, and to leave after my life, to the men who should come after me, the memory of me in good works.”

A couple pictures i took from the Suffolk Says No protest yesterday. Organised by Tom Naggs, he delivered a fantastic speech and energised the crowds. It was a huge success.

“Cornard says no, Sudbury says no, Suffolk says no and Britain says no. No to the HMOs.”

Over the last few days we’ve seen public figures, ‘journalists’ and politicians publicly deny that the English exist as a people.

Not only is this an outrageous lie; it is genocidal rhetoric. Gregory Stanton’s Ten Stages of Genocide outline this clearly: “Denying the identity, history, or reality of a group is a primary mechanism used to facilitate, normalise, or retroactively defend mass crimes.” To use this sort of language about any other group of people would lead to prosecution and social ostracism, yet major public figures can espouse vile racism against the English with no consequence.

We understand that seeing publicly elected figures who are supposedly meant to represent our interests using terms against the English, such as ‘mongrel’, is incredibly demoralising and dehumanising.

But they are wrong. The English are a people. A people who innovated, conquered and helped forge the greatest civilisation the world has ever seen.

We are Englishmen. We exist. And we are proud.

The Wyvern Fellowship will always speak up for our people, because no one else will.
