It was great spending Sunday morning with the Alliance Tabernacle family! Alliance Tabernacle has been a cornerstone of our community for generations, bringing neighbors together through faith, fellowship, and service. I'm grateful for the opportunity to join in worship and miliar faces. Thank you to the entire congregation for the warm welcome and for all you continue to do for our community.

Lights, camera, Brooklyn! 🎬

Thank you to the team at @ncis_ny for hosting me at Broadway Stages in Greenpoint. NCIS: New York is filmed on location across the city, and Brooklyn is a big part of the story, from Gerritsen Beach to Brooklyn Heights to Greenpoint.

It was great to undstage up close. Brooklyn's film and TV industry is part of what makes our borough special, and I'm proud to have it in our community.

Great conversation at the District Office last week with Paul Midey of DailyPay on earned wage access and A258. Hearing from the people who work in this space helps inform the work we do for Central Brooklyn.

Thank you, @NYC_DOT for studying a traffic light at Albany & Hawthorne at my request—one of two intersections without signals near a senior center and senior housing. We must ensure our seniors can stay safe in the Brooklyn they built.

Fifteen years in Southeast Queens, and Resorts World NYC is still investing in our city.

It was a great day to celebrate the ribbon cutting and opening of the International Room at Resorts World NYC, another step toward its vision of a fully integrated resort with dining, itality. It was also exciting for me to meet Queens native and hip-hop icon @Nas at the celebration.

This kind of investment creates opportunities for economic growth and helps make New York City a destination for visitors from around the world.

I was honored to join @NHSBrooklyn for their 44th Anniversary Gala at El Caribe Country Club.

For 44 years, NHS Brooklyn has stood with Brooklyn families by expanding access to affordable housing, promoting financial empowerment, and helping homeowners stay in their homes.

It sent a proclamation recognizing this milestone anniversary and to thank the NHS Brooklyn team for their commitment to first-time buyers, working families, and building generational wealth in our neighborhoods.

Proud to stand with Governor Kathy Hochul, Mayor Zohran Mamdani, Lt Governor candidate Adrienne Adams, Attorney General Tish James, and elected officials from across the borough for our canvass launch at Medgar Evers College in Central Brooklyn on Sunday.

Winning takes more neighbors talking to neighbors, and it starts at the door. Thank you to every union member, labor leader and volunteer who showed up ready to knock. 🚪🗳️

Safe staffing saves lives. This week, a member of my team joined @nynurses at Kings County Hospital to stand with the nurses who care for Central Brooklyn every day.

A nurse practitioner and local union leader was suspended without pay for speaking up about patient safety and concerns. Nurses have a right to advocate for their patients and their workplace, and @nychealthsystem must respect that.

Our community depends on Kings County, and investing in its nurses is an investment in Brooklyn's health. I stand with NYSNA in calling on hospital leadership to address staffing concerns and to prioritize recruiting and retaining bedside nurses.

Great to join the Hims “Let’s Get Tuned Up!” event featuring Hall of Famer Calvin Johnson. Men’s health deserves an open conversation. Let’s break the stigma, encourage men to seek care, and make our health a priority.

On October 3, Roberto Lamour was kidnapped from his home, in my district, by ICE. He is a husband, a father, and a friend to many.

Today, I stood in solidarity with my colleagues in government and community organizers to demand that ICE return Roberto to his family. I’m calling federal government to help bring him home now.

Grateful to the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce for hosting a workshop with @TikTokShop on how small businesses can use the platform to reach new customers and grow.

I especially loved hearing from River and Rusty of @Honeyglowny , two Brooklyn-born brothers who launched their very n TikTok Shop.

Our small businesses are the backbone of our neighborhoods, and they deserve access to every tool that can help them thrive.

New York’s history begins with Indigenous peoples, whose communities, cultures and leadership continue to shape our state.

This Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we honor their contributions and recognize the displacement and injustice they have endured. Telling the full story of our om for the histories too often left out and listening to the Indigenous communities carrying them forward.
