@DHZB_Akademie "3D Advanced Echocardiography Workshop" (happening January 22- 24, 2027) makes it clear why this is way "more than just 3D."
The program bridges advanced imaging with intensive clinical realities”specifically targeting ICU management, complex valvular heart culatory support (MCS), and heart failure.
Perfect for clinicians who want practical utility, not just pretty 3D pictures.
Yes, it’s a 3D workshop but we are taking it straight to the ICU
At the #echofirst Workshop , we aren't just looking at static valves. We’re tackling the tough cases:
Echo in ICU: Deep dives into ECMO hemodynamics and using echo to guide acute fluid management.
Critical Decision Making: Using acute heart failure echo to trigger therapy (from diuretics to MCS).
Live Knobology: Real-time mastering of GE & Philips systems.
Register & view the full program: backend.dhzb-akademie.de/app/uploads/20…
Just take a look at this GOAT line up 🔝

🔑 is to know that symptoms are due to moderate AS in these patients
This is the most relevant & most difficult question to answer
Is indication of intervention in AS shifting?
Next step is Mitral Valve?

I wonder what Dr John Webb would say about this re lifetime management of AS, is there a role for SAVR in such patients if they are younger?

PROGRESS presented at #TCT2026: Among patients with moderate aortic stenosis and at-risk features, a TAVR strategy was superior to clinical surveillance in reducing the 2-year incidence of death or HF events. The primary endpoint was largely driven by HF hospitalizations, in the le open-label design.
A highly selected population, enriched for risk factors. Medical therapy may also have been suboptimal relative to current standards or evolving evidence. Finally, does intervening earlier in the natural history of the disease mean starting the durability clock sooner than necessary? nejm.org/doi/full/10.10…

Why am I not very excited about this?
I saw how TAVI started as an alternative for a much superior procedure in inoperative patients, they I saw how the industry gradually increased the indications.
This is a repeat DeJa vu! Do you want me to predict to you the next target?

Can functional tricuspid regurgitation occur without right-sided chamber dilatation?
Our recent case report suggests a potential mechanism: restricted tricuspid annular mobility in a patient with constrictive pericarditis.
After pericardiectomy, annular mobility improved and TR decreased from moderate to mild.
👉 Could this represent a distinct phenotype of functional TR?
🚨 Further studies or observation are needed.
👉 How often do you consider restricted annular mobility in these patients?
👉 How often do you see not clear mechanism in functional TR?
Let start discussion

🌟Very interesting! Great tweet by master @iamritu about AV strands✨
Recently I had a 45y👨🏽 cryptogenic stroke (2x), no PFO, only finding prominent strands in Ao valve.
I found 📝 about ⬆️ incidence of embolic strokes in this population, without any other cause 🤷🏾

But if adjacent tissue is worn away, they stretch & strand avulses, the cusp may no longer be fully supported & can prolapse

Pericardial constraint–associated functional TR☝🏻
An intriguing case and a reminder always to ask: why TR? Not only grading, understanding the mechanism matters! And as in this case, sometimes means looking beyond the valve and the right heart chambers!
