Australia, Japan and the United States complete a first-of-its-kind trilateral experiment in Japan as part of Exercise Keen Sword.
The experiment successfully linked a Japanese unmanned underwater vehicle, Australia’s Rock Lobster autonomous ommunications systems, demonstrating how these technologies can communicate and operate together.
By bringing operators, scientists and engineers together, the three nations are turning innovation into practical capability.

EXCL: The UK is lagging behind other European countries in public understanding of the threat posed by Russia, the head of the British military has warned in an interview with @FT.
Air Chief Marshal Sir Richard Knighton, chief of the defence staff, said that Britain needed to “catch up with our European allies”, including those geographically closer to Russia who felt the proximity of its aggression and the war in Ukraine more acutely.
He promised further action to counter Moscow’s submarines in the North Atlantic, ahead of a new ‘northern navies’ maritime pact between the UK and nine Northern European allies (Netherlands, Nordics, Baltics and Iceland), expected to be signed on Tuesday.

We are gravely alarmed by information regarding the possible transfer to Siberia of Vadym Golda, one of three OSCE staff members illegally detained by Russia. He has been held incommunicado since October 15.
This is yet another blatant disregard by Russia of its obligations under the Geneva Conventions. Ukrainians in the temporarily occupied territories are deprived of their most basic rights and remain entirely at the mercy of the occupying power.
We demand that Russia provide credible and verifiable information on the whereabouts and conditions of all three illegally detained OSCE staff members and ensure immediate and unrestricted access to them.
We call on the OSCE community to intensify pressure on Russia to secure the immediate release of Dmytro Shabanov, Maksym Petrov and Vadym Golda.

With multi-drone control, an operator marks an area on the map and the system plots collision-free routes for the whole group. The drones take off one after another and fly autonomously without GPS.
Secure communications keep them oriented under Russian electronic warfare. The operator takes manual control only in the final minutes of each mission.
The 108th Assault Battalion “Da Vinci Wolves” of the 59th Assault Brigade of Unmanned Systems doubled its cargo deliveries within a month of adopting the technology.
The MoD and @BRAVE1ua are now scaling it across the front.

The sooner political decisions are made, and the shorter the gap between decisions and actual deliveries, the more lives we will save and the stronger Ukraine’s position will be.
