6/7) To be able to better analyse pulsed SILAC-TMT experiments, we created a novel tool called DynaTMT that can be used for the post-processing data extraction and normalisation. It is available as an interactive tool (PC, Mac, Linux) and python package.

5/7) Strikingly, of the proteins showing decreased import during depolarization, one subset was driven by decreases in translocation, while another set of proteins showed decreased translation, which caused decreased uptake. This is driven by the integrated stress response.

3/7) Using this import proteomics assay, we quantified uptake rates for over 700 mitochondrial proteins, observing a dynamic range over six order of magnitude. The paper shows a number of bioinformatics analyses to define features guiding import.

2/7) Based on our recently developed method for protein translation proteomics (doi.org/10.1016/j.molc…), we now added specific booster/carrier signals that allow monitoring new imported (i.e. newly translated) proteins inside mitochondria.
