Watching @SauceDaniels1 play, you can’t help but respect his journey. This young man has proven himself day in and day out! He took his talents to the Division II level, helped lead his team to the national championship, and now he’s leading a very talented Wofford squad. His hard work, dedication, and consistency speak for themselves!

I’ve known @AndreWrightJr2 since he was 13 years old, and his dream was always to play Division I basketball. He trusted the process, spent three years at D2 Anderson University, earned All-American honors, and now he’s playing D1 basketball at Campbell University! Tonight, he takes the court against NC State.
Everyone’s journey is different. Trust the process and RUN YOUR RACE! 🏀💯

The journey hasn’t been easy, and the road ahead won’t be either. But every obstacle, every setback, and every sacrifice has shaped us into who we are today. 💯
We weren’t built through comfort. We were built through adversity. The struggle created our strength,🏀

Polk State Basketball’s 2026-27 season and Head Coach Marreese Speights’ tenure is off to a splendid start!
The Eagles opened the season with a 104-40 rout of Warner University JV on Friday night. Polk State President Anastasios Kamoutsas told the team he’d give them 50 pushups e dunks for the night. The Eagles exceeded that total in the first half and the President made good on his pledge.
Coach Speights also felt the support of Rotary Club of Winter Haven during his debut. The Rotarians were out in full force to cheer on the Eagles in the opener. Speights spoke at the nonprofit’s monthly meeting earlier in the week.
Prior to the Saturday afternoon’s 129-68 win over Florida College JV, Rev. Trevor Allen of Imprint Ministries was recognized with a framed jersey for his support of Polk State Basketball and Polk State Athletics. Known as "Pastor T," Allen gives generously in in-kind donations to each of Polk State's five athletic teams.

@Polk_Athletics Basketball and Coach @Mospeights16 started the season strong on Friday with a 104-40 win over Warner University JV!
We had a friendly bet where I said that the team wouldn’t make four dunks by the end of the game — a stat they achieved in the first half alone pushups for me.
Shout-out to the Winter Haven Rotary Club for coming out to support our Eagles!
