Moscow thought Washington could force Ukraine to obey.

Putin’s aide Yuri Ushakov has now admitted that after Anchorage, the Kremlin believed the U.S. administration might be able to dictate terms to Kyiv and force Ukraine to comply.

It did not work.

Why? Ushakov said it ed to stand behind Ukraine.

Russia expected to negotiate from a position of strength. Instead, it discovered something inconvenient.

Ukraine was not standing there alone. Thank you, Europe!

He refused to let bureaucracy cost Ukrainian lives.

In 2023, Norwegian MP Peter Frølich and Fritt Ukraina tried to send thermal-imaging drones to Ukraine. Customs stopped them under old export rules.

Frølich appealed to the government, warning that every delay mattered. When still found their way to Ukraine.

The next day, the government moved to speed up the rules. Norway ultimately cleared the way for civilian drones to be sent legally.

Thank you, Peter. Ukraine remembers friends who act when it matters.

Lviv, Ukraine.

A son visits his dad at the cemetery.

War is often explained in maps, offensives, and statistics. For this child, it is much simpler: his father is now someone he has to visit here.

That’s all you should know about Putin’s “humanism.”

Starlink is back. The dependency it exposed is not.
ă…¤
Ukraine regained Starlink, Starshield and U.S. intelligence support as Ukrainian strikes damaged key Russian military plants.
ă…¤
The dispute also exposed a wider vulnerability: battlefield capability across the West can depend on satellite infrastructure controlled by a private company.
ă…¤
Restoring access fixed the immediate problem. It did not remove the strategic dependency behind it.

Voronezh’s war industry came under attack.

A massive drone strike hit industrial sites in the Russian city overnight. Reports identify two targets as VASO, a major aircraft plant, and Voronezhsintezkauchuk.

Ukraine’s General Staff has previously linked the latter to materials opellant for Iskander missiles.

Aircraft and missile production, two parts of the same system Russia uses to attack Ukraine.

Ukraine got Starlink and Starshield back, but the real vulnerability never went away.
ă…¤
The satellite services returned to normal operation as Ukrainian strikes inflicted major damage on Russian military-industrial plants.
ă…¤
But the dispute exposed something larger: critical battlefield capability can hinge on infrastructure controlled by a private company.
ă…¤
Ukraine regained a vital tool. The dependency behind it remains.

For once, the blue flashes on Odesa’s coast are beautiful.

The Black Sea has been glowing along the Odesa coast this October, with waves lighting up electric blue as they break.

It is bioluminescence, produced by tiny marine organisms that emit light when the water is een enough flashes in the dark. These ones are worth watching.

Reports indicate that the Energiya plant in Yelets, Lipetsk region, Russia, is under missile attack.

The facility plays a role in Russia’s military-industrial complex, manufacturing batteries and power supplies for missile systems, aircraft, and other military equipment.

The factory powering Iskanders and Kinzhals was hit again.

Russia’s Energia plant in Yelets produces power sources used in Iskander-K, Iskander-M, Kinzhal and Zircon missiles, as well as Pantsir systems.

This is not just another factory on a map. It is part of the industrial s Russia uses against Ukraine.

This is what childhood looks like in Ukraine.

Ukraine can reach Omsk. It still depends on 24 U.S. Patriot interceptors delivered in 90 days.
ă…¤
Ukrainian strikes hit industrial and logistics targets in Omsk, Tolyatti and Oryol as Russia launched 126 drones at Ukraine.
ă…¤
Kyiv says Russia produces about 140 ballistic missiles a month. Ukraine received just 24 U.S. Patriot interceptors over the past 90 days.
ă…¤
Deep-strike reach is growing. The shield over Ukrainian cities is still being rationed.
