Today, we remember all those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country, and honour those who continue to serve. Their courage, dedication and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Ahead of this Sunday’s Remembrance service, I have signed wreaths to honour those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service of our country.

Earlier this week, I also ensured Wirral West was represented at Parliament’s Garden of Remembrance.

As we come together this weekend, ourage, reflect on their sacrifice, and pay tribute to all who gave their lives for our freedoms.

Great to be back out knocking on doors and hearing what's on people's minds.

Residents raised concerns about fly-tipping and reports of shops selling products they shouldn't be, and I was also glad to hear some positive stories about recent NHS care on the Wirral.

It's always from people about what's working, what isn't, and where more needs to be done.

Thank you to all those who took the time to have a chat!

Last night's Bonfire Night celebrations on the Woodchurch were a fantastic reminder of the community spirit that makes our area so special.

Neighbours, friends and families came together to enjoy local events and share a tradition that brings people altogether.

Thank you to e it such a memorable and safe evening.

Yesterday I met with Home Office Minister Anna Turley to discuss the urgent need for progress in returning King's Gap Hotel to community use.

The last Conservative Government started the use of hotels as temporary accommodation for people seeking asylum, but I am determined ment puts an end to it. Hoylake is a welcoming place, and it is in everyone's interests that this hotel is returned for the use of the community.

I'll continue to pressure the Government to ensure the King's Gap Hotel is put back into community hands at the earliest opportunity.

How is it fair that young people have had opportunities taken away from them because of Brexit?

This Government has rebuilt our relationship with the EU, but we now need to give young people the chances their parents had to live, work and study abroad.

The big challenges facing our country matter, but so do the everyday issues that can have a real impact on people's lives.

Throughout October, my team and I helped residents with a wide range of casework, working to get answers and resolve problems where we can. Every case needs support, and I'll keep working to improve the day-to-day issues people face while continuing to push for the bigger changes our community needs.

If there's an issue you need support with, please drop me an email via:

Thanks to everyone that attended my coffee morning in Spital yesterday – I really enjoyed meeting you all.

It’s always interesting to have open and honest conversations as a group and hear a wide range of perspectives on local issues.

If you haven’t had a invite yet, you will have one soon!

Empty buildings don't do anything for local people.

This funding will help us transform derelict sites across the Wirral, bringing neglected buildings back into use and helping to breathe new life into our communities.

If anyone knows of an empty building local to them that se then please let me know.

I'm pleased to see investment going into projects that will make a visible difference to the places where we live, work and spend our time.

Yesterday at the Budget, we announced a £100 contribution towards household energy bills.

As winter approaches, I know many families are worried about rising costs. This support will help put a little money back in people's pockets and provide some much-needed breathing space.
ll me about the pressures they're facing, which is why I'm happy to see this help being delivered for households across our community.

Here on the Wirral, we support the bravery of RNLI volunteers. Yet, disgracefully across the country, RNLI staff and volunteers have faced a disinformation campaign from cowards who hide behind keyboards and balaclavas.

Today I asked the Minister how the Government can learn setting on the Wirral and give volunteers the support they deserve. See his answer below 👇

My team and I are regularly helping residents with local issues that are having a real impact on their day-to-day lives.

A bin collection issue might seem small to some, but when something goes wrong, it can make a real difference to the people affected. This case is a good ortant to take residents’ concerns seriously and work towards practical solutions.

I'm committed to ensuring that Wirral West is getting the basics right, with people successfully accessing the services they rely on and getting the support they deserve when things go wrong.

Whether you need support with a simple or complex case, please get in touch via matthew.patrick.mp@parliament.uk

I recently went to Irby Primary School as part of my mission to visit every school across Wirral West.

It was great to hand out trophies to all the stars of the class and to listen to the pupils (very proudly) singing their school song.

Thanks for having me!

I recently visited the Nationwide branch in Heswall and met with some of their friendly team.

It's great to see that this branch is retaining its physical location. This enables people to visit in-person to receive help with their banking, improving overall accessibility. onwide Heswall team for meeting with me.

Later today, we are voting on the Northern Ireland Troubles Bill.

This is an important opportunity to deliver for those who helped bring peace to Northern Ireland.

Following last year’s roundtable discussion with Wirral Chamber of Commerce and Wirral businesses, we met again to discuss what has happened in the last 12 months. It was a valuable opportunity to identify issues for us to work together on.

Among other things, we spoke about ere I brought forward ideas that were discussed on a panel I sat on for LJMU at Labour Party Conference.

I look forward to using these important conversations to shape my work in the constituency as well as in Parliament.
