3 numbers to check before distributing a Suno track:

1. Loudness: our 20 raw Suno WAVs averaged ~-15 LUFS. Spotify: -14. Commercial masters: -9 to -10.
2. True peak: raw ~-4.2 dBTP. Keep the master at -1 dBTP or below.
3. Low end: raw files ran thin. Check on a phone speaker.

Raw Suno WAVs aren't too hot. The opposite.

In 20 exports we measured, true peak averaged ~-4.2 dBTP and 0/20 were limited.

Normalizing peaks to -1 dBTP adds only ~3 dB: a -15 LUFS track lands near -12, short of the -9 to -10 of commercial masters. That gap is a limiter's job.

Mastering a Suno track for Spotify? You need less limiting than you think.

Our 20 raw Suno WAVs averaged about -15 LUFS. Spotify plays at about -14. That's ~1 dB, not a crush job.

Push to -9 and Spotify turns it back down, minus the punch. Keep the loud version for gigs.

Suno track sounding dull next to commercial songs?

In the raw Suno WAVs we measured, the top end ran dark: high band about -13.7 dB, air band about -21.5 dB (relative band energy).

Fix: a gentle high shelf around 10 kHz before the limiter, then A/B on a phone speaker. #SunoAI

Correction: I misread our own numbers here.

Against an 83-track commercial reference curve, raw Suno WAVs ran +4.4 dB above 6 kHz and +5.1 dB in the air band. Bright, not dark.

So skip the high shelf: ease the top end down a little, then set loudness.

Adding bass to a Suno track? Do it before the limiter.

Low end eats headroom. Boost it after limiting and your peaks creep back over the ceiling.

Raw Suno WAVs we measured ran thin in the lows at ~-15 LUFS: EQ first, then level to -14.

Releasing a Suno track?

Spotify and YouTube normalize to about -14 LUFS, Apple Music to about -16. For a file you'll play locally or at a gig, around -9 sits closer to commercial releases.

Raw Suno WAVs we measured averaged near -15 LUFS, so each target needs its own export.

Raw Suno WAVs in our 20-track test: true peaks near -4.2 dBTP, 0/20 brickwalled.

That's headroom, not a flaw. You can add weight and level without crushing anything. Keep the final master under -1 dBTP.

Before releasing a Suno track, play it on earbuds and a phone speaker, not just headphones.

Raw Suno WAVs we measured lean bright with thin lows, so bass that feels fine on headphones can vanish on small speakers.

Fix tone first, loudness second. #SunoAI

Mastering a Suno track? Start from the WAV, not the MP3.

Every extra lossy encode chips away at the top end, and raw Suno WAVs we measured already run bright with thin lows.

Upload the WAV, get a master back in about 60 seconds.

Uploading a Suno track to YouTube? Normalization only works one way: loud uploads get turned down to about -14 LUFS, quiet ones are not turned up.

Raw Suno WAVs we measured averaged ~-15 LUFS.

So set the level in the audio file before upload, not after. #SunoAI

Making a music video for a Suno song? Master the audio first.

Cuts, lip sync and beat-synced effects all lock to that file. Re-master later and you re-export and re-check sync.

Raw Suno WAVs we measured: ~-15 LUFS, thin lows, bright top.

A/B tip for Suno tracks: level-match first.

Raw Suno WAVs we measured sat near -15 LUFS; commercial references run -9 to -10. Louder always sounds "better".

Turn the reference down ~5 dB, then compare. That's when thin lows and a bright top show up. #SunoAI

One master doesn't fit every destination.

Streaming: aim near -14 LUFS (Apple uses -16).
Local files or car: about -9 sits next to commercial tracks.

Suno WAVs we measured sat near -15, so pick the target first, then master.

Spotify plays at -14 LUFS, Apple Music at -16.

Our 20 raw Suno WAVs averaged about -15, so after normalization, loudness isn't the gap.

What still stands out is tone: thin lows, bright highs. That's the part worth fixing before release. #SunoAI

Before you push a Suno track louder, check what it actually needs.

Our 20 raw Suno WAVs: true peak around -4.2 dBTP, none brickwalled, ~-15 LUFS.

The real problem was tone: thin lows, bright air. Fix that first, then set loudness.

Releasing a Suno EP? Master it as a set, not song by song.
Raw Suno WAVs we measured: ~-15 LUFS, thin lows, bright top. Check every track; don't assume they match.
Even out tone across the set, then one target for all (~-14 LUFS streaming), true peak under -1 dBTP. #SunoAI

Download caps make every Suno export count. Spend it on the WAV, not the MP3.
20 Suno WAVs measured: true peak -4.2 dBTP, 0/20 clipped. Left to fix: tone (lows ~1.5 dB thin, top 4-5 dB bright) and level (-15 LUFS). MP3 only adds codec loss. masteringone.com #SunoAI

Suno WAV, 20 tracks measured:
True peak avg -4.2 dBTP, brickwall clipping 0/20.
The raw file is not damaged. It is quiet (-15 LUFS) and tonally off: lows ~1.5 dB thin, highs 4-5 dB bright vs commercial masters.
Fix the tone before chasing loudness. #SunoAI

Raw exports: about -15 LUFS (commercial -9 to -10), lows ~1.5 dB thin, top 4-5 dB bright vs commercial masters.
EQ first, then ~-9 LUFS, true peak under -1 dBTP. masteringone.com #SunoAI
