So many self-inflicted wounds. Firing on oneβs own troops is never a winning strategy. If the unity of the Church is a priority, walk the walk.
Some theories are circulating online about the Latin Mass pilgrimage, spread by people unconnected with it.
Some clarity below β
Organisers asked for permission for the Vatican Mass, via a letter delivered directly to Pope Leo by Bishop Schneider in December. The pilgrimage is s always held on the same date.
Organisers received no answer about the Mass until August, when the Secretariat of State replied to say they could not have Mass in the Vatican. Pilgrimage organisers then announced publicly that no Mass would take place in the Vatican.
Instead, pilgrims would process into the Vatican at 1pm on the Saturday, and then go to St Mary Major for a 3pm Mass. Permission for the procession into the Vatican was granted in April 2026.
Weeks after this, in September, St Peterβs announced an event taking place at 3:30pm at the Altar of the Chair (used by the pilgrimage last year for Mass).
Then this week β just yesterday I am told β organisers received another letter from the Secretariat of State informing them they could not even process into the Vatican as planned, and as permitted since April. Basilica events are not the prerogative of the Secretariat but of the Archpriest & the Fabric of St Peterβs: hence why the Secretariat of Stateβs involvement is so strange.
On Saturday, pilgrims walked through the streets up to the obelisk in St. Peterβs Square β accompanied by Italian state police βΒ where they were stopped by the Vatican as this was the limit of the Italian policeβs jurisdiction.
Then they were informed that their usage of St Mary Majorβs had changed: they could only be inside for an hour.
Thus meaning that the planned and authorised pontifical solemn Mass would have to be a low Mass.
Also St Mary Majorβs informed pilgrimage that no official photos could be taken

Not sure if true but the guy who got into the tiger enclosure was reportedly with a "carer" which infers he was likely mentally disabled.
This comes not long after a mentally disabled man with "carers" at another zoo threw a small child into the crocodile enclosure.
It's time we had some serious discussion around this care in the community malarkey. Clearly there are places they should not be going regardless of support & clearly we need to examine who these shit "carers" are because they don't seem to be fit for purpose.

My dog brought a DEAD POSSUM into the kitchen. Obviously, this was traumatic. My mom and I freaked out for 20 minutes while my dad hunted for a shovel. When he finally scooted the possum onto it, the possum opened one eye, looked around, and closed it again. He was PLAYING DEAD. ide and set him on the ground. The possum kept up the act for another 10 minutes. Then he got up and walked away totally fine. But look at that picture. The tiny clenched paw. Mouth open mid scream, tongue out. Très dramatique 10/10 performance

The woman who taught America to cook was 6ft 2, used butter by the pound on public television for 40 years, and outlived most of the people who told her to stop.
Julia Child was born in California in 1912. She could not cook until she was 36. Then her husband was posted to ried in butter in Rouen, and that was that.
If you were in America in the 1960s, you remember her. Black and white, a voice like a trombone, dropping things and carrying on. She put a whole chicken on the board, rubbed it with butter, and told you to do the same. Cream went into the sauce. The fat stayed on the roast.
Then the 1980s arrived and the country was ordered onto margarine, skimmed milk and chicken breast with the skin off. Cookery writers fell into line overnight. Julia would not. She said the fear of food was doing more harm than the food. She carried on with the butter, in front of the cameras, while the nutritionists wrote to the network.
She was mocked for it as a relic.
She worked into her 80s, lived on her own, and died in 2004, 2 days short of her 92nd birthday.
The people who built the low fat pyramid have been quietly taking it apart ever since. This January the American government finally turned it upside down.
She did not live to see herself proved right. She just went on cooking as if it had never been in doubt.
