He just couldn't bring himself to believe the stories because they completely defied basic common sense. Whenever the teacher brought up miracles, young Elon immediately pushed back.
Ocean splitting in half? "Physically impossible."
Feeding a crowd with a couple of fish and bread loaves? "Matter doesn't spawn out of thin air."
And Holy Communion? He was genuinely confused why drinking wine and eating bread was described as drinking blood and eating flesh—wondering if they were unironically making a metaphor for cannibalism.
