Doris can lend her own campaign nearly $7 million while families in CD7 are choosing between rent & groceries. I don’t have that luxury. Doris has no idea the choices families have to make in this economy & is deeply out of touch w/ those of us living paycheck to paycheck.
Major update in the California 7th race: Rep. Doris Matsui loaned her campaign an additional $1,500,000, bringing her self-funding total to nearly $7,000,000.

She is facing off against Mai Vang, a Sacramento city council member who took the Political Integrity Pledge and gets an ex.

Rep. Matsui gets an F on the Integrity Index and has received over $800,000 in corporate contributions since 2024.

OBAMA on ATTACKS on EL-SAYED’s FAITH: We have seen this movie before. I starred in it. I've got a long form birth certificate to prove it. This stuff didn't work on me, not in Michigan. It's not going to work on Abdul.

For years, the Trump admin has launched slanderous attacks against Rep. Omar. This morning, the administration sent federal officials to raid her home.

We cannot and will not accept this unprecedented abuse of power. I stand with @Ilhan.

The hallmark of an authoritarian regime — weaponizing DOJ power to target a political opponent because she refuses to play nice with fascist billionaires & white supremacists.

It's no accident this comes on the eve of elections after he incited violence against Somali Americans.

DHS raiding a member of congress's home is exactly what a fascist police state does.

This president should not be able to weaponize the federal government against political enemies.

I stand with Ilhan.

We got you @IlhanMN

We got us ✊🏽

And we will not be silent.
I’m ok. Make no mistake: this is an attempt to target political enemies and weaponize federal law enforcement. For ten years, Trump has targeted me with baseless lies and smear campaigns. This is just the latest escalation in his campaign of political intimidation.

I will not be silenced.

I stand with Congresswoman @Ilhan .

Using the government to go after political opponents is fascism. These tactics are meant to scare us into submission. We will not be intimidated, and we will not let Rep. Omar stand alone. Every elected official should be speaking out.

He has taken on the billionaire class, won strong victories for his members and understands the need to organize, organize, organize.

I’ve stood firm about abolishing ICE from day 1. It’s important to have officials that stand up for our community, not just when it’s politically convenient.

Yesterday, an ICE agent opened fire in Marble Hill. They shot a member of our community in the neck while he was in his car. His five-year-old kid was in a child seat in the back of the car when ICE agents fired at least 7 rounds into it. This was in the middle of the afternoon, with children walking home from school and people heading home from work. Federal agents put every one of them in danger.

When I was in Marble Hill last night I saw NYPD officers rapidly escalating violence. As I was trying to de-escalate, I was shoved to the ground by an officer. I witnessed unmarked law enforcement cars hitting protestors as NYPD officers pushed people out of its path. And instead of condemning ICE’s violence, Police Commissioner Tisch attempted to justify the shooting by reading off our neighbor’s past interactions with police.

The NYPD spent more time protecting a militia that just shot someone than protecting New Yorkers. Last night, the NYPD and Commissioner Tisch violated the spirit, if not the letter, of our sanctuary city policies and fueled the Trump Administration’s attempt to demonize our communities. The NYPD’s Strategic Response Group must be disbanded as quickly as possible, and Commissioner Tisch must step down.

In this district, there are mothers who are afraid to send their kids to school, workers who are afraid to show up for their shifts, and people who won’t call for help anymore because they can’t be sure who will come. That’s what it means to have a violent militia operating in your community. You don’t feel safe walking down your own street.

For decades, we’ve been told ICE can be fixed with more oversight, better training, or reform. But you can’t reform an agency whose purpose is to terrorize immigrant families. You can’t train cruelty out of a system built to enact cruelty. ICE must be abolished.

This moment demands that everyone step up. Elected officials at every level need to stop hedging and say it plainly: Abolish ICE now. Our city must enforce every sanctuary protection we have and city officials must ensure this cannot happen again.

According to a new poll, 2/3 of Americans now support Medicare for All — & support rises to 75% when they learn about the program.

People are sick of a broken healthcare system driven by the greed of the insurance industry & Big Pharma. The time to pass Medicare for All is NOW.

California’s 5% billionaire wealth tax is THE most important ballot initiative in the country.

At a time of massive income and wealth inequality, the billionaire class must start paying their fair share of taxes.
