My favorite part of @Isabel_Schnabel's final speech:
At the end of her time at the ECB, Executive Board member @Isabel_Schnabel reflects on what she has learnt about monetary policy, sharing four key takeaways on the choice of tools, the response to shocks, fiscal and financial dominance, and implementation ecb.europa.eu/press/key/date…

Delighted to have Darrell Duffie join the podcast to discuss his work on the Fed's operating system and balance sheet. We cover a lot of ground including why QT cannot fully unwind QE, the role of an interbank market as a clearing mechanism for reserves, how liquidity regulations and payment-system design affect reserve management, how tokenized finance may reshape central banking, and more! @Austan_Goolsbee @annap_2013 @neelkashkari @vtg2 @NickTimiraos @colbyLsmith @senoj_erialc @ChrisGiles_ @conksresearch

Another great Macro Musings podcast. One thing not said in it is that if the Fed must often repair reserve-shortage "potholes" using temporary OMOs*, the "abundant reserve" system loses its main proclaimed advantage, to wit: its supposed ability to make such OMOs unnecessary.

Amazing application of AI. This is the future.
I'm thrilled to be launching Econvitals today. It's been the main way in which I have been tracking and understanding the economy over the last several months. And I decided I might as well share it with all of you--for free.
Has a combo of website, email lists & social media.
