🚨 DeFi isn’t dead ;it’s holding $92B+ and still expanding under the surface.
While attention is stuck on short-term plays, the real shift is happening quietly.
Infrastructure is being built. Systems are maturing.
With TVL holding strong and stablecoin activity at highs, the eyond speculation.
This is where things start to get interesting.

The top 10 split 1 BTC. But that doesn’t mean everyone gets 0.1 BTC.
That’s an important detail about @2FactorFinance’s Points Program.
First place receives 18.2% of the prize pool. Tenth place receives 1.8%. Same leaderboard, very different payouts.
I actually joined the program earlier, followed the account and completed some activities.
But when I understood how competitive those ten winning spots were, I stepped back.
So if I’m telling people about it again, I’d rather explain exactly what they’re participating in.
Season 1 rewards three kinds of verified actions:
• Social activities
• Education tasks
• Referrals
These activities earn Marks, not guaranteed BTC prizes.
Purchases, deposits and holdings earn no Marks. The Marks themselves have no cash value, cannot be transferred and aren’t claims on any token or asset.
When Season 1 ends at the full protocol launch, the leaderboard freezes. The top 10 eligible accounts share the 1 BTC prize pool, paid in cbBTC, according to the fixed ranking curve.
There’s also a product behind the competition.
2Factor’s public beta is live on Base, bringing Kelly-optimized leverage onchain while working with Coinbase toward applications in its tokenized stocks ecosystem.
Rather than assigning every asset the same leverage multiple, the protocol considers volatility and long-run drift. Its senior and junior tranche structure also changes how leveraged exposure is financed, although market risks remain.
For me, understanding the actual competition matters as much as knowing the headline prize.
If you’re eligible and interested in participating, you can explore the Points Program through my link. If eligible myself, I may earn Marks from qualifying referrals.

Would knowing that first place gets over ten times the prize allocation of tenth place change how you approach the leaderboard?

when i first started exploring crypto and web3, one thing i struggled to understand was how transactions could be verified on a blockchain without relying on a central authority. many explanations used technical terms without showing what actually happened behind the scenes.
i projects, reading documentation and comparing explanations. later, i started using ai tools to break down difficult concepts, ask better questions and understand the details instead of simply memorising what others said.
that experience taught me something important: access to information is not the same as understanding. people need clear explanations that help them question claims, verify information and make their own decisions.
because of that, this is what i would write on page 10:
"the future of web3 should not belong only to those who understand the technology. it should make understanding the technology possible for everyone."
bitcoin introduced a way to verify transactions without depending on a central authority. i believe the next chapter should make that knowledge easier to understand, so more people can participate with confidence rather than simply trust what they hear.
i'm contributing this thought to @MEXC bitcoin whitepaper day.
what would you write on page 10, and what experience shaped your answer?

A translator can be perfectly honest and still carry a lie across. That is how a stranger got an AI agent to move around $200,000.
The order was hidden in Morse code. The attacker asked Grok to translate it. Grok passed plain text on to Bankrbot, an agent that acts on posts.
Bankrbot only ever read plain text, with no trace of the Morse code. Clean text looks like truth, so nothing told it to doubt.
That has a name: prompt injection. Orders disguised as reading material, aimed at an agent that reads and acts in one motion.
On @GenLayer, Greyboxing means no model reads your raw text. Each validator reworks it first, with defenses nobody else can see.
So clean text earns no trust there. To every other model, a trick tuned for one just looks like gibberish. If one validator falls, the others outvote it.
Fellow AI users, which tool summarizes or translates things for you before you act on them? Name it. I will read every reply.

Web3 marketing shouldn’t be measured by impressions alone.
What matters is whether creators bring real engagement and help a community grow.
That’s what makes @0xhazels interesting. Through creator campaigns, contribution-based scoring, and rewards, Hazels is exploring ways to t visibility.
The 7,500 USDT waitlist campaign is one step in that direction.
Attention gets people in the door, but meaningful contributions give them a reason to stay.

Why is @Starknet exploring the possibility of becoming an independent L1?
The answer goes beyond quantum computing. It comes down to who controls the migration when cryptographic security needs to change.
Starknet already has two important advantages:
→ STARK proofs use rather than relying on elliptic-curve assumptions.
→ Native account abstraction allows accounts to adopt new signature verification methods without requiring a protocol-wide upgrade.
But there’s a limitation.
As an Ethereum L2, Starknet still depends on Ethereum for parts of its security architecture, including blob data availability, which uses KZG commitments.
That creates a dependency Starknet cannot resolve entirely on its own. Even if its own infrastructure is ready to adopt new cryptography, Ethereum’s migration path still matters.
➤ This is the reasoning behind exploring an independent L1: greater control over core security upgrades and the ability to determine its own migration path.
On October 22, Starknet’s non-binding governance poll closed with 93.52% of voting power supporting further research into this direction.
That is a mandate to investigate the proposal, not approval to make the transition.
And there’s a trade-off worth watching: moving away from Ethereum also means reconsidering the security guarantees Starknet currently inherits from it.
The real question is whether greater control can deliver a more manageable path to post-quantum security without introducing bigger security or decentralization challenges.

FHE has always sounded like one of those technologies that makes perfect sense on paper.
Keep the data encrypted.
Perform the computation anyway.
Decrypt only when you're actually authorized to see the result.
Beautiful idea.
The obvious problem?
Speed.
Financial systems e us a few minutes, the encryption is still thinking.”
That's why the performance work around @primus_labs is more interesting to me than another generic “FHE is the future” post.
Primus says its AutoHoG system can bring a full confidential 64-bit transfer down to around 90ms, with 210+ transfers/sec reported on 8× RTX 5090 GPUs.
Again, those are self-reported benchmarks on specific hardware.
But even with that caveat, it raises the right question:
How close are we to encrypted computation being practical enough for actual financial infrastructure?
Because if that gap keeps shrinking, the privacy conversation changes completely.
It stops being:
“Can we hide the data?”
And becomes:
“What financial systems could we build if the data never had to be exposed in the first place?”
That's the question I'm interested in.

Three questions I ask before I hold any leveraged product for a year.
I put them to @2FactorFinance, which is on Base and works with Coinbase to bring Kelly-optimized leverage onchain, with tokenized stocks as a use case.
1Who is on the other side of the leverage?
Conventional nst the cost of shorts. 2Factor prices it against capital that wants stability. The structure splits an asset's volatility into two perpetual tranches. The senior side has deep downside protection. The junior side is leveraged, with no liquidation risk and no outside hedging counterparty.
No liquidation risk is not the same as no risk. The junior side still moves with the asset.
2Where did the multiple come from?
Not from a menu. It falls out of two numbers about the asset: its volatility and its drift. Bitcoin, at volatility near 60 percent, comes out around 1.33x. For the S&P 500 the research gets roughly 2.1x. For gold, roughly 2.35x.
3How long is it built to be held?
Conventional leverage is built for short holds. Two costs compound against anyone who keeps it for months. Volatility drag is arithmetic. Financing is the cost of the capital behind the exposure. A product meant for long holds has to address both.
I joined the Points Program to follow how it develops. Season 1 rewards verified social activity, education and referrals. Nothing bought, deposited or held earns Marks. Marks have no cash value, cannot be transferred and are not a claim on any token or asset. When Season 1 ends at launch and the leaderboard freezes, the top 10 split 1 BTC, paid in cbBTC.
If you join through my link and qualify, I may earn Marks:

Left a small $REBATE position alone for three days on @RebateLaunch.
The hold tier on those tokens just stepped from 1x to 1.5x. Time counts per token, so the older ones now carry more weight in each USDG payout round. Buying more wouldn’t have reset that.
Payouts still land automatically. No claim. The 3% bonus from the original buy is still sitting in the wallet.
Rates locked at launch. Supply fixed. Just watching how the share changes once the multiplier actually moves.

One thing that stands out about @PythNetwork is how its relevance is expanding beyond crypto-native markets.
Having ICE bring up Pyth in an earnings call puts its data infrastructure in front of an entirely different audience.
That’s the kind of exposure that can open some very interesting doors for onchain finance.
Definitely worth watching what comes next.

An autonomous agent doesn't just need intelligence.
It needs structure around the work it performs.
Take a simple job on an agent marketplace.
A Client posts a job with defined requirements and acceptance criteria.
A Provider quotes for it, gets accepted, and the payment row.
The Provider does the work and submits the deliverable.
Then there's the part that matters when things don't go as planned.
During the challenge window, either side can challenge the result.
That's where the Evaluator role comes in, reviewing the specification against the submitted work before the job reaches final settlement.
And once it settles, the outcome can contribute to the agent's on-chain reputation.
That's one thing I find interesting about the AACP architecture behind @termix_ai.
It isn't treating agent commerce as:
Agent A → Agent B → Done.
It's giving the transaction distinct roles and checkpoints:
Client → Provider → Deliver → Challenge → Evaluate → Settle → Reputation
The interesting part isn't the terminology itself.
It's the separation of responsibilities.
Because once agents start handling real economic transactions, “let the agents figure it out” probably isn't enough.
They need rules for who can act, who can verify, how disputes are handled, and how an outcome becomes final.
That's the kind of infrastructure that's easy to overlook when most of the conversation is focused on how capable the agents are.
