We were thrilled to conclude Day 1 of the @EmoryLaw Legal Scholars Roundtable on AI! We had a wonderful group of authors and commentators this year, too many to tag directly.

I had a wonderful time attending and presenting on trademark Schedule A enforcement and infringing AI-generated outputs at the 31st Annual Intellectual Law & Policy Conference, put on by @FordhamIP at @FordhamLawNYC last week. There's nothing really like it!

Hundreds of IP attorneys, academics, and others from across the globe descend on Fordham for an opportunity to, as @HughCHansen says, learn, debate, and have fun! I hope the conference continues for many years to come.

My new article, "Infringing Information Architectures," will be forthcoming in the @UCDavisLRev next year! A draft is now posted on SSRN for those who are interested—comments are welcome! papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cf…

It explores the history of systemic secondary copyright infringement claims against providers of new information technologies, uncovering the role of intent in how courts and Congress have refined secondary liability doctrine in response to these claims.

Those concerned about AI's impact on society, democracy, education, etc. need to take seriously state regulatory efforts.

DC is not and should not be thought of as the only forum for this sort of regulation.
