Today, we celebrate a groundbreaking act of generosity that will transform the future of medicine at MCW and beyond.

We extend our deepest gratitude to Linda T. and John A. Mellowes and the Charter Manufacturing Foundation for their historic $50 million gift – the largest precision medicine at MCW.

In recognition of this landmark gift, MCW’s Center for Genomic Sciences and Precision Medicine will be elevated to the MCW Linda T. and John A. Mellowes Institute for Genomic Medicine and Precision Therapeutics. The Hub for Collaborative Medicine, the vital collaborative space on MCW’s Milwaukee campus, will also be renamed as the Linda T. and John A. Mellowes Health Innovation Center.

The Mellowes’ gift reflects progress toward becoming a nationally and internationally recognized collaborative for genomic medicine and precision therapeutics, which aims to tailor treatments to a person’s unique genetic makeup. Through this support, MCW, along with our partners at @childrenswi and @Froedtert, can think bigger and bolder in pursuit of a future where personalized care is the standard for everyone at all stages of life.
