i find it so funny how twitter is the most illiterate platform out there and tik tok exists btw
the point is, they added self shield and self snowflake to compete with prime dd, even tho prime dd was now nerfed by 60%
and they never thought of removing those abilitys
the whole point of the tweet is that daredevil was not the reason the game is bad, the game was bad from the beginning and has always been bad when it comes to balancing.
no hero alone was responsible for a game dying, it is an accumilation of multiple months of the game being awfully balanced and people getting upset about that, without knowing that is the reason why
the same way your civilians dont know what consequences, increasing the price of oil holds, is the same as rivals players not understanding what consequences certain balance decisions hold for the future (self invis shield, self snowflake, adam flight etc.)
Pro Players are braindead, casuals are braindead and devs are braindead
thats why u dont listen to just 1 singular group of people, but multiple highly experienced players in all fields of the game and outside the game (someone with a decade of overwatch experience will have a better insight then someone who only played rivals)
but you cant ignore other players either, like fighting game experts. this game has a lot of melee heros that are close to fighting games and therefore the game needs to get adjusted towards those as well
after almost 15 years of hero shooter history you would expect the general knowledge of those to be a norm, but everyday i get proven wrong..

Okay tbf that throw thing was DEFINITELY a bug bc throw was only meant to bounce on a single target twice
Also there’s NO WAY the devs INTENTIONALLY made it so a single throw could do 130+ dmg on ONE person 😭😭😭

We've been seeing "cool aim" clips since the first ever shooter came out. There is no other game where you can see a diver pop off. Rivals has unique melee dive dps designs which you can't find in any other game. That's why they are cooler

@LukeTheNinjaMR That is also DD's fault. Gambit was designed to be OP because he had to be a strat that could survive and outvalue wallhacks. Elsa was Netanyahu because of DD. Cat was given all the bullshit under the sun because she had to keep up with DD. Everything was more balanced before him

Why do Daredevil and dive DPS players act like they’re the crown of skill expression?
The dive community thinks I’m against them when I say DD ruined their role, but it’s the complete opposite.
The developers have slowly stripped dive of its individual agency by introducing more stuns, mobility, and survival tools instead of rewarding skillful counterplay.
DD’s engage has practically convinced everyone that these defensive tools are the only solution, while the rest of the dive roster suffers for it.
You’re defending a hero whose existence is pushing the game further away from the very skill expression you claim to value.

The argument that Daredevil ruined marvel rivals is just completely false.
its the developers incompetence to nerf a hero in the correct way and to balance the game properly. If we just nerfed DD instead of buffing everyone to his launch level we would be fine right now
