Luka Kuplowsky :: The Grass Grows, Antonych Grows

aquariumdrunkard.com/2026/03/30/luk…

...a sound aesthetic reminiscent of minimalist art-rock, like late Sylvian or early Eno were playing in a post-apocalyptic fairy forest or in a children’s book that explains heliobiology.

music.apple.com/jp/album/the-g…

A miniature Luka at his work desk - the size of a photograph, a small book, a pencil. A ritual dance for the poets? everything starts moving at once: book, art, body, words, textile (krayka). No distinction.

SINGLE #2
Oh. The poet is a bug. Intoxicated by the sweetness of cherries. Floating up towards the divine and ordinary. To be among such good company (Shevchenko himself!)

A contemporary of mine in this Toronto music scene, Luka Kuplowsky, has just made an album adapting poems of Bohdan Ihor Antonych. It is called "The Grass Grows, Antonych Grows". The musicians are all very talented and I expect this to be deeply moving. Comes out March 20. Link⬇️
