Reflecting on my trip to Korea.
What a trip it was.

Met quants from firms trading tens of millions, exchanges and protocols interested in partnerships and investors who’ve already backed quant strategies.
Got to I only knew from X and learned so much from them.
Best event of KBW was easily @joinfrontier Seoul. Absolute W to @HYNSAEWOOO.
Spent most of my days going to trading events, talking to founders and people working at some of the biggest unicorn companies in crypto.

One thing I like about how we’re handling allocations on Kronix:
If you follow multiple strategies, they don’t all get thrown into one messy balance.
Each strategy has its own account, risk settings and history.
So when something is working, struggling or sitting in a lly see what’s responsible.

A backtest tells you how a strategy would have behaved on historical data.
The more interesting test starts when the strategy has to deal with market data it hasn’t seen before.
That’s why Kronix will keep historical backtests and forward paper performance separate.
Before real capital enters the picture, traders should be able to see how a strategy has actually behaved since it was published, not just how good it looked in hindsight.

There’s a distribution problem in systematic trading.
A quant can spend months building a strategy, but getting it in front of traders often means building an entire product around it or revealing more than they want to.
At the same time, traders looking for systematic strategies are left comparing signals, screenshots, bots and scattered performance claims with very little context.
Kronix gives professional quants a way to keep their strategy logic private while building a track record.
