1884. The Home Office Baby incident whereby a Lincolnshire cleric mailed the Home Secretary the corpse of a still-born child. It was a protest over local burial provision. #OTD

Admiralty Arch was built by John Mowlem & Co 1906-12 in the English Baroque Revival style, designed by Sir Aston Webb. It had North and South wings attached for offices, the Admiralty Library (30,000+ books) and the First Sea Lord's apartment.

There was a crime boom in WW2 London. Between 1939 and 1945 crime grew 60%.
Rampant property crime, murder, the blackout, gang warfare, the black market, vice, looting, corruption - you’ll find it all here. Like Peaky Blinders? You’ll love this but it’s REAL !!
