66 years ago, in 1960, John F. Kennedy faced the exact same kind of vile religious bigotry that Abdul El-Sayed is up against today in 2026. As a Muslim representing Michigan, El-Sayed is an absolutely fabulous candidate — yet history is repeating itself. Looking ahead another 66 to wonder: which religious group will be the du jour target for vilification then?
Hate, racism, and bigotry have always been America's original sin. If we are to progress as a nation, it is imperative that white supremacy — and the Christian nationalism that fuels it — be eradicated by emotional intelligence and a higher moral consciousness.

The double standard in the Michigan Senate race is an absolute abomination.
On one side, you have Abdul El-Sayed, who is laser-focused on fighting to make the lives of working-class Michiganders better. Yet, the press routinely badgers him to defend himself by relentlessly h questions about terrorism — as if being a Muslim automatically puts him under suspicion of being a terrorist. What the fuck?!!
Meanwhile, Mike Rogers' bigotry gets a total free pass. He runs on a platform of white supremacy, shamelessly pandering to the most rabid Islamophobic bigots in Michigan, and mainstream media outlets barely blink an eye.
The fact that a dedicated public servant is subjected to non-stop xenophobic vetting while a blatant bigot gets a free pass to inject hate into this election is a damning indictment of a failed press. It reveals the pathetic, broken state of American politics in 2026 — a toxic rot engineered, normalized, and driven entirely by Donald Trump.

North Carolina End of Early In-Person Voting
🔴 2024: R+41,457
🔵 2026: D+343,548
Republicans did not win a single day of early voting. Even when high-propensity voters were red, those gains were overwhelmed by exceptionally blue turnout among less frequent voters.
