Last night, before 9:30pm, our crews were called to a house fire in Wigston, caused by a stray firework.

Fortunately no-one was hurt, but the roof was severely damaged.

We had a fantastic International Control Room Week, with a cake sale, a raffle, games and other fun events, and with crews and other colleagues organising scheduled visits to Fire Control.

More than £600 was raised for The Firefighters Charity as a result - well done everyone!

With Remembrance Sunday a week away, some of our crews have been busy readying their communities, including Market Harborough, which put up a beautiful poppy display outside the Fire Station, and Coalville Fire Station, with crews hanging up poppies around the town's clock tower.
