87.5% OF H-1B FILINGS WOULD MISS SHEEHY'S FLOOR
S.5097, the End H-1B Abuse Act, sets a $200,000 minimum wage for H-1B workers.
DOL certified 392,175 H-1B filings from October 2025 through June 2026. 343,332 offered less than $200,000.
New hires fall even shorter. Only 9.9% of new-employment filings cleared $200,000.
The bill also makes employers swear they had no layoffs in the 12 months before filing and will have none in the 12 months after.
A layoff would cost a company its H-1B access for a year.
WHERE’S THE ACTION ON THIS?

.@VP nails it. My End H-1B Abuse Act would crack down on the rampant fraud and abuse in the H-1B program so we can put Americans first.

@LayoffAI Fees, fines, and salaries will not work.
Corporate attorneys, financial groups, and placement agencies will find loopholes.
All forms of Worker Immigration must end as we know it.

@LayoffAI To everyone complaining that they can't find a well paying job - you voted for the illegal immigration and massive work visa programs. You enabled your own workplace replacements. Hell, some of you even trained your foreign replacements.

@LayoffAI The way to end H-1B abuse is to end the H-1B policy.
Period.
There is no need for it. We have more than enough qualified American workers to take the jobs.

@LayoffAI They still have to equalize the tax consequences to the employer. So, the absense of FICA and all the other employment taxes MUST be offset by an equal or greater H-1B tax. It is the ONLY way.

@LayoffAI With inflation being what it is, $200K isn't enough.
