This is the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Men, women, and children digging cobalt out of the ground by hand.
No machines. No safety gear. Just whips, sacks, and open pits.
Literally looks like modern day slavery.
The DRC supplies most of the world’s cobalt. That cobalt goes our phone and in electric cars.
You will not see this footage on the mainstream media.
The same people who lecture you about the environment also source a critical mineral from some of the worst working conditions on earth, then act surprised when the video leaks.
They didn’t miss this story.
They chose not to tell it.
