From 21–22 October, NRDC-ITA, in its role as NATO Allied Reaction Force #ARF Headquarters, hosted the ACO DCOM CABAL 26-2 at Ugo Mara Barracks, bringing together senior leaders from across NATO’s Command Structure and major Allied commands.
The event was attended by DSACEUR ACM DSACT GEN Aurelio Colagrande, alongside senior representatives and Deputy Commanders from across the Alliance.
The CABAL provided a senior-level forum to exchange views on the evolving strategic and operational environment, strengthen coordination and enhance shared understanding across #NATO.
As ARF HQ, #NRDCITA continues to contribute to #readiness, interoperability, multi-domain integration and operational adaptation, while using training, experimentation and lessons identified to strengthen Allied responsiveness.

The Spanish Helicopter Unit deployed in Slovakia in support of HQ NRDC-ESP took part in Exercise CAS SOF Week in Czechia 🇨🇿.
TIGRE and NH90 helicopters trained alongside Special Operations Tactical Units (SOTUs) from several Allied nations, refining procedures for integrating air in a multinational environment.
This training strengthens interoperability, enhances operational readiness and reinforces NATO’s deterrence and defence posture on the Eastern Flank.

A CH-47 Chinook from the Spanish Helicopter Unit deployed in Slovakia in support of the HQ NRDC-ESP Corps Forward Element took part in Exercise #LogicalDecision in Hungary 🇭🇺.
The crew conducted live-fire training missions under the direction of Joint Terminal Attack Controllers alongside the Hungarian 86th Helicopter Wing.
This multinational training strengthens interoperability and operational readiness, contributing to NATO’s deterrence and collective defence on the Eastern Flank.

On 20 October 2026, representatives of the Defence and Security Cooperation Directorate visited NATO Allied Land Command (HQ LANDCOM) in İzmir, Türkiye, to strengthen cooperation and engagement across the Alliance.

The visit to exchange perspectives, enhance mutual understanding and reinforce the importance of coordination in support of NATO’s mission and priorities.

During Operation Atlantic City, the Royal Air Force 🇬🇧 delivered Norwegian 🇳🇴, U.S. 🇺🇸 and British 🇬🇧 troops and equipment to the remote Norwegian island of Jan Mayen — helping sustain Allied operations in one of NATO’s most demanding g across vast distances and limited infrastructure, strategic airlift provides the mobility and sustainment needed to get forces where they are required, when they are required.

As part of Arctic Sentry, the mission strengthens Allied readiness and reinforces NATO’s ability to operate across the High North.

During Exercise Steadfast Duel 2026, Joint Force Command Norfolk tested its ability to command Allied forces in a high-intensity Article 5 scenario alongside around 8,000 military and civilian personnel across NATO.

The headquarters to understand the battlespace, make timely decisions and coordinate Allied capabilities under pressure — exactly what collective defence demands.

The aim: learn, adapt and ensure the headquarters is better prepared to deter aggression, defend the Alliance and act when it matters.

The 3rd workshop of #PCCI26 and #SEL1 exercise, held together for the first time in 🇦🇿 within the #PfP between Azerbaijan & @NATO, have concluded.
High-ranking servicemen of @wwwmodgovaz, the #NATO delegation, and a monitoring team observed the exercise.
First, detailed infothe exercise scenario, its conduct, safety regulations, and assessment procedures, and the objectives to be achieved were explained.
The exercise participants then fulfilled the assigned tasks in practice.
The activities of the units, as well as the personnel’s training, knowledge, and skills were commended by observers.
In the end, servicemen, who distinguished themselves during the exercise, were presented with certificates, honorary certificates, and other awards.

Within the framework of the visit to Azerbaijan for the #PCCI26 3rd workshop and #SEL1 exercise, the @NATO delegation, led by Deputy Commander of @NATOJFCBS, Lieutenant General John Mead, was received by the 🇦🇿 First Deputy Defense Minister – Chief of General Staff of General K.Valiyev.

Colonel General K. Valiyev noted the particular importance of relations between #Azerbaijan and @NATO in the training of professional military personnel and stressed the need to continue developing these ties.

During the meeting, NATO’s significant role in ensuring #peace and #security around the world was highlighted. The importance of reciprocal visits, meetings held in various formats, training exercises, and courses was also emphasized.
The parties also discussed prospects for developing cooperation with NATO in the field of military education, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
