Beatrice Keul, a former Swiss beauty queen, has told investigators for House Judiciary Committee Democrats that Donald Trump r*ped her inside his Plaza Hotel in New York in 1993, when she was 24 years old. (He was 47.)
According to a devastating account released Monday, Trump grabbed Keul from behind and forcibly r*ped her, tearing her dress and leaving bruises and bleeding on multiple parts of her body. Keul described the alleged assault as “brutal.”
She says Trump then sat her on the edge of the bed, repeated promises to help her obtain a U.S. visa and admission to New York University, and demanded that she keep quiet. “The show must go on,” she says he told her.
The newly detailed allegations emerged from a House Judiciary Democrats' investigation into Trump's relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Keul told congressional staff that she first met Trump at a lunch for his American Dream Pageant, where he offered to help advance her career and education. Shortly afterward, Epstein approached her, introduced himself as “Don's best friend,” and offered to arrange her flights and accommodations.
Later that day, according to Keul, a Trump representative escorted her upstairs to a hotel suite for what she believed would be another meeting about her future. She says Trump assaulted her there.
Keul told investigators that she completed the pageant in a terrified “daze.” She said her passport had been taken away from her upon arrival, leaving her afraid to raise questions about getting it back before the competition ended.
She eventually returned to Switzerland and refused to participate in another Trump-sponsored pageant. Months later, she says, Trump called her and renewed his offers to help her move to America and attend NYU. She declined.

At about 6:45 Wednesday morning, two masked agents jumped out of a black SUV at Enos Drive and Broadway in Santa Maria and tackled a 20-year-old special education student from behind. He was half a mile from campus. He's a U.S. citizen with limited verbal communication. He lives in a group home for adults with developmental disabilities and has no family. They handcuffed him while he kept telling them, "You're hurting me." Then they put him in their vehicle, questioned him about his citizenship and drove around a few blocks. His Real ID was in his wallet the whole time. Nobody asked to see it.
Then they dropped him back on the street where they had grabbed him. His wrist was broken in two places. He also has a black eye and cuts.

Absolutely reprehensible. I met with veterans this morning who told me they're disgusted by this statement from the president.
Our servicemembers put their lives on the line for our country and we must honor our contract to care for them. Threatening to take that away based on the results of an election is un-American.
