These are enormous shifts.

Darline Graham is running 42 points behind Trump's 2024 early vote margin in Cherokee, a county Trump won by 51. South Carolina is very much in play, and I might go as far as to say I'd rather be Annie Andrews right now.
South Carolina U.S. Senate

Darlington County – 51% reported:
🔵 Annie Andrews – 7,783 (64.4%)
🔴 Darline Graham – 4,178 (34.6%)

Cherokee County – 38% reported:
🔴 Darline Graham – 3,909 (53.9%)
🔵 Annie Andrews – 3,268 (45.0%)

Andrews is overperforming Harris's 2024 early vote margin by 37 points in Darlington and 42 points in Cherokee.

I’m usually doing partisan activity at this hour on election night, but this evening for the first time I am doing election protection work with @DCDemocrats. It is so meaningful, especially getting to protect the vote here in Ward 7.

Unfortunately at Kelly Miller they ran out of ink, and only have three voting machines. Our poll workers are on it, they have reported the problem and hope to get more ink soon. Meanwhile, I’ve informed a voter that they indeed can register to vote today.

Lastly, every couple of minutes the entire gymnasium erupts in cheers when a first time voter casts their first ballot. What a meaningful way to spend my evening!

Mamdani is a democratic socialist- fixing potholes, building tenant power, stopping cop city, expanding 2K are all part of the democratic socialist agenda of making government work for working people.

I’m glad centrists are coming around, but that doesn’t make him one.
Janeese Lewis George officially becomes Mayor-elect today and while she will immediately face tough decisions, the most important one will be whether she chooses the governing path of the progressive pragmatist (Mamdani) or ideological true believer (Johnson.)

She should choose the Mamdani path—it’s the successful—and popular—one.

Interesting point from former D.C. mayor Anthony Williams in an interview with @AshleySchapitl in Capital Commonsense: The D.C. Council needs a bigger professional staff, instead of committee staff being tied directly to the individual councilmembers who chair those committees.

🚨 MYTH: The Constitution requires D.C. to remain exactly as it is.

✅ FACT: It requires a federal seat of government, NOT that all of today's D.C. remain part of it.

D.C. statehood is constitutional. D.C. residents deserve equal representation.
