The rice industry is incredibly important to Arkansas. I visited with industry leaders and producers to discuss the challenges farmers are facing. With the acreage of rice planted in the state declining in recent years, it is critical that we boost markets for Natural State roduct.

We made good progress last year with updates to the farm safety net programs as a part of the Working Families @TaxCuts. As a result of these urgent updates, rice producers in Arkansas will begin to receive those improved benefits.

I was glad to be at Riceland in Stuttgart alongside local producers. With recent years of instability for rice producers and millers, investments in the farm safety net secured through the Working Families @TaxCuts will help ensure the entire supply chain remains viable. It’s Bill 2.0 across the finish line to further support rice farmers in expanding their markets, both here at home and abroad.

Arkansas is a leader in aquaculture, so I proudly champion policies to help maintain and enhance that status. Enjoyed visiting with catfish farmers and researchers at @uapbinfo with Gov. @SarahHuckabee and getting a firsthand update.

@SenateAgGOP and @SenateGOP secured ELAP king Families @TaxCuts that are supporting our farmers dealing with bird depredation as well as investing in more research. Now we're following that up by bolstering 1890 land-grand institutions in Farm Bill 2.0 to allow schools like UAPB to continue promoting quality research-based learning right here in Pine Bluff.

Increasing access to markets and making sure Arkansans have access to the catfish grown in our state continues to be one of my priorities.

The forestry industry contributes more than $7 billion annually to Arkansas’s economy. Operations like the Domtar sawmill in Glenwood are critical to supporting rural communities.

I’m proud to help strengthen U.S. forestry policy through Farm Bill 2.0 and champion initiatives e forest management.

Enjoyed being in Waldron and talking with ranchers and poultry producers including @ArFB President Dan Wright.

Input from Arkansas poultry producers led to the development of a pilot program that allows these growers access to an insurance policy protecting against at we included in the Working Families @TaxCuts. I’m committed to working to ensure our farmers and ranchers have the resources they need to make their operations successful and will continue working to advance additional farm assistance.

The Biden Administration lost over 200,000 American manufacturing jobs in its final two years, but Senate Republicans’ pro-growth agenda is fueling an American blue-collar boom.

Domestic manufacturing is expanding, wages are growing, and construction paychecks are up $2,800.
