This is great to see and was the direct message I gave to practitioners and those involved in the Natural Environment Bill that deer are a resource for us to harvest not a pest to get rid of, and public procurement had a big part to play. Hopefully more take on the opportunity
💯School children will be nourished on first rate protein from off local land, the ecosystem will benefit from less overgrazing, and tree plantations & gardens will be under less deer pressure. The @ScotGamekeepers have long pressed for such common sense.

This is a cracking wee video.
Ahead of the annual Portree Weaned Calves sale, we paid a visit to crofters and hauliers on Skye to get a better insight into their work in producing calves on the west coast.
Watch our new video here!

I have written to the U.K. government with colleagues from Wales and Northern Ireland seeking a more practical approach to visas for shearers so we can keep our reciprocal benefits and be certain for 2027 and beyond facebook.com/share/p/1dVkx2…

Devolution was supposed to kill the idea of independence, that hasn’t worked. They put schedule 5,1)b) reserved, constitution into the Scotland Act as insurance, that won’t work either. If democracy matters to them they must respect that it is Scotlands Right to Choose, not theirs.
“Devolution was never supposed to stop at the doors of the Scottish Parliament.”
In Motherwell, Scottish Secretary @D_G_Alexander joined the PM to invite the Scottish Government to join forces - pushing real power straight to local communities to reindustrialise Scotland.

It was a great wee trip to Stirling today, some tremendous stock on show with good prices throughout. More importantly though @RSABI were there and giving @BlackfaceSBA Aileen a wee heart health check. These guys do brilliant work so take a moment when you see them and say hi

Even Maggie Thatcher agreed that if Scotland wanted independence we only had to vote for it. Labour reserved that right to WM in 1998 Scotland Act.Opposition today don’t think we even have the right to debate it. You need to make your voice heard and demand your right to decide.

Andy completely misrepresented the context of what they were talking about. The Cab Sec is well aware of our crofting estate, AB conflated amalgamation of public body lands which the crofting estate is not a part of. The clip is deliberately selective, poor show from both here 👇
How do we cope with the stunningly low quality of our politicians in Scotland. Even I knew this. And I am not the Scottish minister responsible for it.
