After almost 10 years, today is my last day with @Sports_Spectrum. It's time to say goodbye.

And honestly, I don’t know how to put this into words.

What started as a job became a calling. A ministry. A family. A huge part of who I am.

I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for the life along the way.

To @SteveStenstrom, Howard Haworth, @JonDAckerman, Aaron Sauer, @abhasselbeck, @MattForte22, @ScottLinebrink, Raymond St Martin, Krystin McConnell, and so many other teammates over the years — people like Rachel, Tricia, Bekah, Jacob, Leah, Josh, Benjamin, Joe, Greg — you all made me better at my job and more importantly, you challenged me to go deeper with Jesus. THANK YOU.

To every athlete, coach, broadcaster, author, pastor and speaker who trusted me with your story: THANK YOU. I’ll never take that trust for granted.

And to everyone who watched, listened, read, posted, shared, prayed, encouraged, emailed, DM’d and believed in what we were doing—THANK YOU. You made this work matter.

For nearly 10 years, God gave me the incredible privilege of using two things I love—sports and media—to point people toward the thing I love most: Jesus. That’s something I’ll never stop being grateful for.

Leaving hurts. A lot. Especially when it is something that has meant so much to me.

The friendships. The late nights. The long days. The hard days. The conversations. The big moments. The nine Super Bowls. The gatherings across the country. The countless stories. I’ll carry all of it with me.

But even through the sadness, I have peace. I believe God is calling me into a new season, a new assignment and I’m excited for what’s ahead.

Sports Spectrum and PAO will always be an important part of my story.

THANK YOU for 10 incredible years.

I’m leaving with a full heart, deep gratitude, and more love for these people and this place than I could ever put into words.

To God be the glory.

Jason

Two young Christian men are serving prison sentences in one of Iran’s hardest prisons. They’re there because they refuse to stop preaching about Jesus.

When asked how to pray for them, their answer wasn’t what you might expect.

“Pray that we would not be released until our job here is finished,” they said. They had led numerous fellow prisoners to faith. Now, their chief concern was to remain inside long enough to disciple them.

I recently saw someone with over 300,000 unread messages in their email inbox and I almost had an anxiety attack.

I'm a "zero unread messages" guy myself.

Where do you land?

Saddened to hear the news of the passing of Coach June Jones.

I had the privilege of working alongside June during his first two years at SMU before transitioning to TCU.

June loved the Lord, and he saw coaching as his mission field. His purpose went far beyond winning football e an impact in the lives of young men that would last long after their playing days were over.

I’ll never forget his first team meeting with the SMU football team. At the end of the meeting, June played a video of Wintley Phipps sharing the powerful story behind the hymn Amazing Grace.

Phipps talked about John Newton, a former slave-ship captain whose life was transformed by the gospel and who later wrote the words to Amazing Grace. He also shared the possibility that the melody had roots in the sorrow songs of enslaved Africans.

June used that video to share how the same gospel, the message of Jesus Christ, had transformed his own life.

What a powerful way to begin his time at SMU! He was letting those young men and coaches know from day one what mattered most to him and why he did what he did.

June was a great football coach, but what I appreciated most was his heart for the Lord and his desire to impact lives beyond the game.

Thankful I had the opportunity to work alongside one of the greats. While saddened by his passing, I find joy in knowing that his faith was rooted in Jesus Christ and that he is now home with the Lord.

Rest well, Coach June. Thank you for the impact you made on so many lives. Praying for his family and all those who loved him.

To all my Friends, Rockies fans, current and past Players, members of the entire Colorado Rockies Organization top to bottom,

I would like to extend my appreciation and love for being part of an incredible journey for over 20 years.

I was granted the opportunity to coach and I was asked to come back and mentor the young players and future leaders of this organization. Both were gifts. Thank you to Dick Monfort for trusting me with both of those journeys and for always treating me like family and making Colorado feel like home.

What I will hold onto most isn’t the wins. It’s the people! They are what Rocktober was built on. That’s what the next great Rockies team will be built on too.

With my last day being October 31, 2026….just know that I am not retiring…but rather recalculating my journey personally and professionally.

In the words of my favorite Doctor….”Don’t be sad it’s over be glad it happened” - Dr. Seuss

Thank you for your support over the years. My family and I have loved our time in Colorado, and will always cherish our memories in purple.

Make a difference today,
Love Clint

There are some incredible reporting details in this piece from Marchand. Not easy reporting to do at all.

Aikman and Buck are the best broadcasting booth in the NFL. I have believed this for a couple of years. It is, of course, just my opinion. I like both people individually quite a bit.

What's not opinion is that this siuation is an absolute mess and ESPN has a Super Bowl coming up— one of the biggest initiatives in company history.

They are in absolutely uncharted waters here.
After a quarter-century together, the iconic broadcast partnership of Joe Buck and Troy Aikman is fracturing.

Inside the tension, the $108M ESPN contract, and the fallout in the Monday Night Football booth.

Man this is what sports does.
You may see an 81 year old man crying after waiting decades to see his favorite team win the World Series but I see a 15 year old kid living in the moment.
