One of the joys of my job as alumni director was working with the 1969 Mets. There were great teams, but perhaps none greater than the Miracle Mets. They are still revered six decades later. Yesterday we lost another of the guys when Jerry Koosman passed. metsinsider.mlblogs.com/jerry-koosman-…

Stage 4 and the first thing we both said was how blessed we’ve been. Most people never get half of what we had. That’s perspective.

Timing is everything and the @Giants may have saved their season by acting quickly trading for JJ McCarthy. Because after what happened to the Ravens today with injuries to Lamar and Huntley, there is little doubt Baltimore would tried to trade for JJ. Ravens HC Jesse Minter was Jim Harbaugh's DC at Michigan when they won national title in 2023 with McCarthy at QB.

If i could retweet this a million times I would. Hilarious!
Gardner Minshew is like the McRib. He exists for just a limited amount of time. But while he's here, it's spectacular.

We were taught that Earth orbits the Sun in a closed circle. In reality, Earth has never returned to the same point in space once in 4.5 billion years.
Right now, the Sun is carrying Earth and every planet around the center of the Milky Way at 230 km/s (828,000 km/h), more than 80 seconds.

Because the Solar System is tilted 60.2° to the galactic plane and bobs up and down through the galactic disc roughly every 30 million years, the planets trace open 3D corkscrew helices across deep space rather than flat loops.

The last time the Sun stood where it stands today, one Galactic Year (230 million years) ago, the very first dinosaurs were only beginning to appear on Earth. Since forming 4.6 billion years ago, our Sun has completed only 20 laps.

Minnesota politicians failed to do anything about massive fraud in their state.

“It took a 20-year-old with an iPhone to go in there and expose it,” says fraud expert Andrew McClenahan.

Here’s why government is so bad at finding and stopping fraud:
