If I could add ONE line to the Bitcoin whitepaper, it would be:
"Take time to learn Web3 before risking your money chasing opportunities you don't understand"
When I first got into Web3, I honestly thought it was all about making quick money.
I would see my friends posting ely start looking for the next airdrop, giveaway, or 100x opportunity.
I still remember the first money I made in Web3. I used it to buy a honeypot token, thinking I was already on my way to becoming rich.
Only later did I realise that I had bought a token I couldn't even sell. ๐
That wasn't the only time either. I joined countless projects hoping to find the next 100x, and along the way, I experienced rug pulls and lost money chasing opportunities I barely understood.
Eventually, I realised I was spending so much time looking for money that I wasn't spending enough time learning the space.
Things started changing when I decided to pay attention, understand how Web3 actually works, and look beyond airdrops and quick profits.
That's when I began to see how much more there was to this space and how I could contribute instead of just being another person chasing rewards.
My biggest lesson is that knowledge is one of the most valuable things you can have in Web3.
Opportunities will always come and go, but understanding what you're getting into can save you from a lot of mistakes and help you recognise where you can bring real value.
So, don't just come into Web3 looking for the next 100x. Take time to learn, ask questions, understand the technology, and find something meaningful to contribute. There's more to this space than making money.

I built my own prop challenge in under a minute. Here is every setting I picked and why
Most prop firms hide their math behind rigid, fixed cards
When I jumped onto @carrotfunding to check out their new Challenge Configurator, the first thing that caught my eye was the UI forcing you into a preset box, you build the parameters yourself
๐๏ธ Account Size & Phase: Tested a $50k tier, toggling between 1-Phase and 2-Phase
๐๏ธ Loss Limits: Adjusted the drawdown sliders to see how much breathing room is allowed for Hyperliquid perps
๐๏ธ Profit Split & Cap: Dialed it up to an 80% split (paid out in USDC on-chain)
Why this matters for traders
The best feature is the live calculation. Every single time you move a slider, the one time fee updates instantly on screen
You aren't guessing what changes you see the exact cost of your risk choices in real time
If you're building a challenge, how do you usually set your risk parameters tight or loose?
Build yours and tell me what you chose
(Test out the configurator live at carrotfunding.io)
