I don't know why this is controversial, but "personhood" is a philosophical concept within the branch of metaphysics. This means it cannot be proven.
The existence of personhood laws does not mean it was proven. It means a group of people within a certain time period convinced legislators that the law needed to be made. This law can change at any time because people change, legislators change, ideas change, and values change. This is why it's a weak pro-choice argument.

The reason so many people are so upset about The Wrong People being sad at Sir Patrick Stewart's death is because it proves that not making your sociopolitical beliefs your entire identity is not only possible, but celebrated, and they just can't have that.

It's wild watching socialists and communists bend over backwards to excuse government-imposed famines that killed millions, then turn around and act as though expecting someone to pay for their own food is an intolerable injustice.
Millions starving under state control? Historical complexities, unfortunate circumstances, good intentions.
Having to earn the money to buy groceries? An unforgivable violation of human dignity.
Apparently, starvation is excusable when the government causes it, but paying for food is oppression when capitalism allows you to buy it.

The following was posted by Volusia County Sheriff, Mike Chitwood. The takeaway is that Florida is not like the commie blue states. We take threats to the president seriously here.
"We are not going to tolerate threats to assassinate the president. Allison Albro, 21, Daytona the hard way. She posted this last night and got a visit from the VSO Domestic Security Unit and the U.S. Secret Service. She said she was joking with this post, she doesn’t have access to a Glock or any other weapon, and she would never hurt anyone. Today she’s sitting in jail on charges of written threats to kill and unlawful use of a communications device. I would strongly advise anyone else thinking of posting a “joke” along these lines to think twice. VSO continues to work hand in hand with the Secret Service, FBI and all our law enforcement partners to ensure this presidential visit to Daytona Beach is a safe event for all who attend, and for our whole community."

@KimInParadise @KayaMichiyu @MaryTracy1101 @Prolife_Texan__ Just a reminder that every human life begins at the time of fertilisation. Intentional interventions to prevent or disrupt implantation of human embryos is homicide.

Please vote fully educated on what communism looks like, how it begins, and what crowd psychology looks like.
Folks, after a few comments I got regarding the upcoming elections. I might need to step away from X for a bit!
Giving up your freedoms because you think someone is something that you’ve been told. Is not a way to look at things!
I support immediate execution of pedophiles! I spent 22 years on youth ball fields to keep children safe!
I understand Trump has been accused of being on Epstein Island! Until I see absolute proof, I’ll give him the benefit of doubt!
But, the upcoming election isn’t about Trump! It’s about you and your families! It’s about living free or becoming a slave to the tyrants!
I can promise you this! You’ll never get any of it back once it’s gone. Once they unarm you, which will be high on their agenda. You’ll live like all the other people that are oppressed in Socialist and Communist countries!
I’m going to take a day or two away from politics, just post jokes!
I hope some of y’all will really think about what you’re willing to throw away because of words…you were told, without any substantial proof!

Something tells me they moved to Texas because it's better but are still choosing to vote blue..
We need 2 people in Texas to make sure they cancel out their vote.

Followers of Jesus are commanded to make disciples of all nations. Therefore, proclaiming hatred toward those who have yet to follow Jesus contradicts the very mission and example of Christ. Jesus loved us while we were still sinners, and He calls us to love others, even our enemies. We are called to speak the truth, invite people to repentance, and make disciples, not to hate those we hope to reach. We cannot faithfully represent the love of Christ while treating the people He came to save with hatred. (Matthew 28:19–20; Romans 5:8; Matthew 5:44)

@Jennabeangood @jk_rowling I reject your premise. Transphobia is just a bullshit term people throw out to try and shut those up using biology and facts to disprove this social contagion

I feel really bad for people who don’t know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Their lives are empty and devoid of purpose.

I'm not certain, but this might just be the dumbest response I've ever seen. They blocked me because intelligent discourse is clearly not what they're after.

@LostPlayer404 @Knight_Limbus @peggyeshipman Personhood is philosophy, which means it cannot be proven. Laws can and have been immoral. Laws can and have been changed. They will always be able to change. That's why saying "well it's a law" isn't a valid argument in this case.

To those who were aware of my surgery and assorted problems that followed, shingles being the worst, I had my 8 week post op appointment. I have been declared fully healed with no restrictions.
My new mission, other than researching for my abortion articles, I will be training for a 5k walk-run for a local charity in April.

"Live fetus" according to William's Obstetrics, 25th edition.
Yes, I bought a used Obstetrics textbook to fit alongside my two Embryology textbooks. Doing research.
This is for the extra dumb ones who claim a fetus isn't alive. I didn’t need a science textbook to know 't continue to grow. It's possible that in their ignorance they're attempting a personhood argument. But this is also handy to show that miscarriage is "spontaneous abortion" and the medical or surgical types are "induced abortions", aka killing the fetus.

Baptism is beautiful. My church is on the small side, but we had a special service where 26 people got baptized.
I saw seniors getting baptized. A man and his two sons, each in turn. Children. Teens. Young adults. I saw parents crying watching their children accepting Christ as their savior and getting baptized. I saw a girl, maybe 12, leap out of that pool and throw her arms around her dad, so happy to be saved by Jesus.
Then we all sat together and took communion and prayed. Some doing this for the first time, remembering what Christ did for us, and praying in gratitude for God's mercy.
When you feel that call to follow Jesus, you get Baptized. Jesus did the work. He did the saving. But Baptism is something that is an outward action reflecting redemption. It also pulls a community together. We know what's in your heart, that you belong to God, that you will face trials, which will help you to grow spiritually and in character, and others will support you along the way.
Baptism truly is beautiful.

I have written about abortion before, but I'm going to spend 9 months writing about abortion arguments on substack. This is my introduction.
