INGAA President & CEO Amy Andryszak: “The broad cross-section of industries—oil and gas, renewables, transmission developers, manufacturing, labor—reflects the shared desire to enact meaningful reforms to enable the development of linear energy infrastructure…”

Lawmakers have an opportunity to turn this momentum into meaningful progress and ensure Americans have access to affordable, reliable, and secure energy to meet growing demand.

America has the energy resources. What we need is the infrastructure to deliver them.

Meeting projected natural gas demand through 2052 will require more than $1 trillion in new midstream infrastructure. But that investment won’t happen at the scale we need without a more permitting process.

European Energy Commissioner Dan Jørgensen recently called Europe’s dependence on imported fossil fuels an “energy price crisis” and a “stark example of how dangerous and expensive it is to be dependent on imported fossil fuels.”

The lesson is straight forward: Energy security isn’t just about how much energy a country produces. It’s also about whether the infrastructure exists to deliver that energy to consumers.

America has abundant natural gas, but infrastructure constraints keep affordable domestic energy from reaching the consumers who need it.

Expanding and modernizing natural gas pipeline infrastructure can help connect domestic energy supplies with consumers, strengthen reliability, diversify heating options, and help reduce energy costs.

The future of North American energy trade — and the credibility of USMCA itself — depend on whether we are willing to enforce the deal we made.

Mexico has repeatedly fallen short of its commitments under the USMCA, enacting policies that give state-owned industries an unfair advantage over American energy companies. American companies should be able to invest and compete on a level-play field under clear and predictable rules.

@INGAApipelines Amy Andryszak and @TheAXPC's Anne Bradbury had a great discussion about today’s energy landscape and the forces shaping natural gas development and infrastructure at SHALEINSIGHT® (@MarcellusGas) view the highlights ⬇️
Q: Let's talk about infrastructure needs...

@TheAXPC : We’re not energy constrained, we’re infrastructure constrained. We are the envy of the world with the resources we have.
@INGAApipelines: We are going to need 70 BCF of natural gas pipeline capacity in the next 25 years. Learn more: ingaa.org/foundation/ing…

“The question is no longer whether reform is necessary. The question is whether Congress will seize this growing momentum and deliver.”

Too often natural gas infrastructure projects are slowed by years of permitting delays. To meet growing energy demand we need comprehensive, durable permitting reform to build the infrastructure to deliver the reliable energy the nation needs.

We have the ideas, talent and capital to build big things in this country. Too often, permitting delays stand in the way.

When projects sit in review for years, costs rise, investment stalls and communities miss opportunities for jobs and economic growth.

A faster, more process can help move critical energy infrastructure forward while maintaining important reviews.

We support permitting reform that helps America build the infrastructure needed to meet growing energy demand.

Reconductoring isn’t a new issue but, as Ashlin notes, due to a rise in energy demand, a lack of permitting reform to build the infrastructure needed to meet that demand, and new technologies, the it is coming to the forefront because the industry needs to unlock additional capacity quickly.

“The reason there is so much attention on permitting reform is because it is impossible to build any large-scale infrastructure projects in this country right now.”

#Energydemand is growing fast and we need comprehensive permitting reform to build the infrastructure needed to deliver the reliable energy the nation needs.
