A beat 'em up built on rock-paper-scissors: 打 strike > 绞 submission > 投 grapple > 打.

Read each enemy's style from their body, then counter it.

Read the lunge, duck under it, and counter. Time slows for the read, then the punch lands full speed. The later you read it, the harder they fly.

Grappling now chains. Launch with 天地返し, catch them on the way down (雲つかみ投げ). Trip the crowd with 地雷震, then pull one off the floor and slam it (切り株返し).

Chrome on macOS will never show a Bluetooth Switch Pro Controller in navigator.getGamepads(). It opens the device and starts the Nintendo handshake, then goes quiet. Safari is fine.

Workaround for my game: open the pad with WebHID from a "Connect controller" button and decode the reports yourself. Two layouts to handle: 0x3F (what the pad sends after pairing) and 0x30 (what it sends once Chrome's half-finished handshake has switched modes).

Corner Cutter: a neon downhill skating game where you hook the apex and swing through the corners. This is my favourite run so far, eight hairpins in a row on a midnight mountain pass.

Hot take: Saying “blinker” instead of “turn signal” makes you sound like a toddler. I immediately assume you’re about to go “tinkle” or take a “dookie.”
