Thanks @WashingtonHosp for providing this learning experience to high school students interested in health care careers. One of many East Bay hospitals inspiring the next generation of health professionals!
WHHS recently hosted the Future Health Professionals Club from American High School in Fremont. They toured the Radiation Oncology Center and the Sandy Amos, RN, Infusion Center. We hope they enjoyed the tour and learning about our leading-edge facilities. #WHcares

Lifting up this important program in @pleasantonca to expand access to mental health care and the community partners, including East Bay hospital @SHC_TriValley who came together to make it happen. Congratulations to all!
Pleasanton worked with the community to expand access to mental health care. Now, the city’s Alternative Response unit dispatches a clinician and non-uniformed officer to non-criminal behavioral health incidents. Congrats Helen Putnam Award for Excellence winner @pleasantonca!👏

Learning about the science of Workforce Resilience with Dr. Bryan Sexton at the HQI and Hospital Council Annual Conference. Very interesting academic findings coupled with real-world examples from California hospital leaders.

Lifting up the Food Farmacy program @UCSFBenioffOAK which hands out fresh fruit, vegetables, and groceries to nearly 300 families in #Oakland and the East Bay twice a month. Another amazing example of hospitals providing for the basic needs of their patients.
“Good nutrition is really at the foundation of health,” says UCSF's Dr. Jennifer Michlitsch, who volunteers with our Food Farmacy program, which brings fresh, nourishing food to #Oakland families twice a month. ucsfh.org/3rRbNXY #FoodAsMedicine

You've heard of farm to table. Now there's farm to hospital cafeteria! Celebrating this unique partnership between @WashingtonHosp and #4-H & #FutureFarmersofAmerica in Alameda County. #WHCares
Every year, students in local #4-H & #FutureFarmersofAmerica chapters exhibit their livestock projects at the @ACFair & sell them in the #JuniorLivestockAuction. We support them by purchasing the livestock & serving the meat in our cafeteria. #WHCares @AlamedaCounty

Wow! Thanks @UCSFBenioffOAK for supporting the work of local artists and enriching our community. Hospital buildings can be inspiring places for healing.
Local artist Walter Hood has transformed our breezeway into a magical forest—complete w/ towering redwoods & dewy ferns! “Walter’s work has a deep connection w/ Oakland’s history & uses that to tell the story of its present,” UCSF’s George Weiss says. ucsfh.org/46dS5FP
