Most Indians, and indeed most ethnic minorities, are natural conservatives. Most will support immigration control, most will support tax cuts, most have strong family values, most are devoutly religious and most will respect the country they live in.

IMO, the U.S. should intervene if it becomes clear that Louvre is about to fall to rioters. Launch airstrikes on Paris, call up and threaten Macron, I don't really care. But Louvre shouldn't fall to rioters in any case. That is not just French history in there. That's Western history. If the French fail to protect it, somebody needs to intervene.

In April 2011, American Marines were leaving a small Japanese island after helping its people recover from one of the worst disasters in modern history.
Just weeks earlier, the March 11 earthquake and tsunami had devastated northeastern Japan. On Oshima Island, debris blocked d been swept ashore, and residents were cut off from the mainland.
Then came the U.S. Marines.
Their mission was called **Operation Field Day**, part of the wider American relief effort known as Operation Tomodachi Japanese for “friend.”
They cleared destroyed vehicles and houses from roads, reopened damaged harbor areas, cleaned schools, and helped restore access so residents could begin rebuilding their lives. They also delivered more than 65,500 pounds of relief supplies to the island.
But the moment that stayed with people came when the Marines prepared to leave.
More than 200 residents gathered at the port. Elderly islanders waved American and Japanese flags. Others shook the Marines’ hands and attached ribbons to their landing craft to thank them.
A young Japanese girl named Hinano was photographed waving goodbye as the Marines boarded their boat.
Ten years later, Oshima unveiled a memorial bearing three words:
“Friendship Forever.”
The lesson is simple: friendship between nations isn't built only in diplomatic meetings or military alliances. Sometimes, it is built by people showing up when others have lost almost everything.
And sometimes, the most powerful thank-you is the one people make sure history never forgets. 🇯🇵🤝🇺🇸
