My folks visited from Wisconsin and gave me a block of 5 year cheddar and a block of pepper jack from the cheese factory in my hometown. So I made some of the best mac n cheese on this side of the mississippi

The man-made horror of life stopping in mere milliseconds, then being wiped from existence, is something that I don't think I'll ever be able to handle. Every accidental death is a tragedy, these type are horrible in a unique way my brain was not created to understand.
this is horrible oh my god. just unbelievable.

Hull 3, a Haven-1 qualification primary structure, is complete. We manufactured, inspected, and proof tested it in-house in Long Beach in five months, four months faster than Hull 2, the flight structure. Hull 4 is next, allowing us to further refine our process.

Being a Wisconsin sports fan is a weird, hopeful, crushing experience. Somehow, it always goes wrong. Until, somehow, it doesn't. Now I can feel peace and happiness. This dumb team I was born into being a fan of won it all. It doesn't feel real, surely I'll wake up soon.
THE WAIT IS OVER. YOUR BREWERS ARE ON TOP OF THE BASEBALL WORLD

This is an interesting microcosm of VC scamming. It's pitchable to a layman, and you can say "this is what SpaceX did" or "this is what SpaceX is doing" quite a few times and write a narrative around it. Extremely pitchable. Wrong, but compelling to the right people.

I was dating this girl in college and went to her house for dinner once. For some reason her neighbor joined and when he learned I was a software engineering student, he started singing the praises of PHP. I said I'd never used PHP, learning and using mostly C/C++ at the time. He got like, really competitive about how PHP is such a good language. It was really odd and I thought he was an idiot. Turns out, he was. Don't do webdev folks, it makes you stupid.
Effective Immediately, all organizations using PHP for their systems are advised to be prepared for an update addressing two critical vulnerabilities. PHP is widely used for web applications. These vulnerabilities often provide a direct path to the server's file system or database. If an immediate update is not feasible, it is recommend that organizations take the system offline until it can be fully mitigated. NSA will follow up shortly with more specific guidance.

Wow it looks so cool to disrupt nocturnal life and the natural rhythm of Earth.
Apparently reflect orbital conducted their first ground illumination test and WOW does it look cool.
Location: (near Mount Whitney and Lone Pine, California)
Community note
Reflect Orbital's test near Mt. Whitney used powerful spotlights mounted on the ground to simulate illumination from its planned orbital reflectors. The company's first satellite has not launched. sfgate.com/tech/article/m… sfchronicle.com/outdoors/artic…

how are these mutually exclusive?
I don't want flying cars.

I want rivers and ocean I can swim in with friends.

I want food that isn't full of toxic chemicals and clean soil to grow it in.

I want raw nature and wilderness and places on the earth I can get lost without seeing another human.

I want air that isn't "geoengineered" and polluted.

Science is cool. Technological advancement is cool, but I don't think this makes us happier as humans.

Real human connection and clean, natural food lead to happiness. This I know. Flying cars? I'm not sure.

Maybe I am a troglodyte...

this is not a car in flight. this is a car in falling. it's falling up, falls up over the vehicles, then it falls down. it's simply falling, you see.
we all agree this car was stopped from falling, not flying correct….?

don’t get me wrong, looks amazing and that was cool.

but….. it fell, didn’t fly.
