“Biden Is About to Hand Over a Vast and Unconstitutional DNA Database to Trump.” In a new piece out today in @truthout, our Executive Director Emily Tucker explains the dangers of the genomic surveillance powers Trump is about to gain access to.

“Every person’s privacy, security and civil rights are implicated by this program, whether or not their own DNA ever ends up in the database…The only way to stand up for yourself in the face of mass genetic surveillance is to stand up for everyone else.”

There’s still time before inauguration. In his final days in office, Biden should terminate the program, order the deletion of profiles created through the program and the destruction of any genetic samples the government has stored.

Last month we signed on to a letter organizedby @HinakoSugiyama and the International Justice Clinic @UCIrvine demanding that @SecMayorkas disclose details of the Paragon contract. But we don't need to see the contract to know it should be canceled.
