@Gemini_Notebook You celebrate a straight downgrade. I’m genuinely impressed by Google’s commitment to self sabotage at this point

@Gemini_Notebook That waveform visual syncing with the audio gives it such a clean polished feel

@Gemini_Notebook would be nice to have an apple CarPlay or android auto version of notebook interviews (with ability to interrupt and ask questions).

@Gemini_Notebook I use this feature a lot. The lady sounds very similar, even upgraded, but the man lost his excellent projection, he used to sound like a confident movie announcer but sounds somewhat quiet and timid in cadence now.

@Gemini_Notebook @Scobleizer Miss the old voices terribly the new ones almost sound sick and far more robotic.

@Gemini_Notebook Now it would be nice if it was possible to change voices. At least have a handful to select from.

@Gemini_Notebook A easy compromise is let us use the old version before the upgrade. Sounding different is its own issue, but they're harder to understand. It sucks because the overviews feel like a niche tool, and unless we're very vocal about it, you won't see that it's a problem for your users

@Gemini_Notebook PLEASE, try to get the male voice closer to what it was (timbre and intonation). The new voices sound like they are tired, not-too-interested-in-the-topic, and with their noses congested, compared to the old voices. Before they were exciting and now they sound boring.

@Gemini_Notebook AO is my favorite Studio tool. Hope it gets SFX (creeks, bangs, thunders and other sounds). A worthy addition (request) for those sound challenged, (which could also work well with described audio).

@Gemini_Notebook There's something about the male voice that feels like it's struggling more. He was way more clear in the previous version. I'm having a really hard time listening to him in this video...

@Gemini_Notebook I should say, the style of talking of these guys is a very specific NPR American way of talking. I hope the other languages reflect the style and tonality of talking in their countries and not just a direct translation with a sunny Californian tone.

@Gemini_Notebook Please bring old voices back, the people have spoken, I checked everywhere and I found almost universal agreement for the old voices

@Gemini_Notebook I love these voices, but the quality of the male voice went down into a creepy territory.

@Gemini_Notebook More layered timber and delays, the repetitive acknowledgement of the previous statement do not really make the male host's voice more natural. It decorates the voice, but sinks the personality. Besides, it seems that a lot of users really love the old version of voices, me incl

@Gemini_Notebook bad update, they sound like they have a cold! And their cadence is so slow and boring, bring back the funniness and quirkiness of v1!

@Gemini_Notebook For example, while listening to the explanation or audio, we should be able to see the files, as this is helpful. It should also be divided into sections, or there should be an option for those who want the audio or explanation divided by page and level of comprehensiveness.

@Gemini_Notebook Cool if it's an upgrade, but one thing that annoys me with notebooklm is no matter how much I want them to just talk about the source material without saying " we have notes and sources", just talk like a podcast/ radio show/ news journalist, without telling us about the notes

@Gemini_Notebook The hosts are so boring now. They refuse to be silly. Not everything needs to be framed as an intellectual discussion. Someone us liked having fun. Like silly fake commercials or pretending to be gremlins while breaking down news. You made them boring.

@Gemini_Notebook It's great to explore more voices, but please restore the original voices too. They were much soothing and more professional. 🙏

@Gemini_Notebook For instance, as a medical student, when I used this feature, it wasn't comprehensive and felt rather childish. Also, since I speak Arabic, I couldn't interact with it because the interaction is only in English. I used to see the slides while listening to make it easier. Thank u
