Residents in and around Richmond County may notice smoke in the area today, November 3, due to a planned prescribed burn.
📍 Location: Richmond County
🌲 Area: Approximately 1,000 acres
🕕 Estimated completion: 6 p.m. today
important tool for keeping Georgia's forests healthy and reducing the buildup of vegetation that can fuel dangerous wildfires. It also improves wildlife habitat and supports healthy forest ecosystems.
Smoke may be visible in surrounding areas during the burn and can linger afterward, depending on weather conditions.
