Great article from Jeremy Chang @UIowa_Surgery reinforcing how aggressive surgical management of patients with SBNET with #PeritonealMetastases can lead to long-term survival albeit with increased perioperative morbidity.

Some people put their ideas out in the world and hope they catch on. Not Gloria Steinem.
Through her writing, her speeches, and her organizing, she demanded that the world pay attention to all the ways that women had been — and in some cases, still are — treated unfairly. And problems like domestic violence, the lack of affordable child care, and unfair hiring practices that had too often been ignored or overlooked.
Gloria really was larger than life. Today, generations of women are walking a little taller and aiming a little higher because of what she fought for and achieved. Michelle and I are thinking of her family today, and everyone — women and men — who were inspired by her towering example.

Donald Trump had the racist, bigoted audacity to post an AI-generated video depicting former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama as apes.
Most of us already know who Donald Trump is. We already know there are no bounds to how low he’s willing to go. We know that he has no moral compass. We know that he is a disgrace. So while his behavior is not shocking, it is certainly disgusting and disturbing.
But when will it be enough for those who continue to stand beside him? When will Republicans in Congress condemn his behavior? Your silence is complicity — and it is very loud.

Last night, Trump posted a video to his social media platform that contained a racist clip showing Barack and Michelle Obama as monkeys. It's still up:

The way to honor King: Don’t just quote #MLK. Work to eradicate racism, poverty, and militarism. That’s on the path to true peace, which, as my father said, “is not merely the absence of tension; it is the presence of justice.”
