1/4 FFmpeg weekly news (Sep 23–29): ffplay gained a searchable, sortable chapter list with click-to-seek. The concat demuxer can create chapters per file for playlist browsing. ASS karaoke tags can now become WebVTT cue timestamps. New in git master!

2/4 New Bink Audio 2 and Rhetorex ADPCM decoders landed; the binka demuxer now reads Unreal Engine's Bink Audio variant. MPEG-H 3D Audio support in MP4 was extended. New 5.1.6 and 7.1.6 channel layouts and AVX2 optimizations for 12-bit ProRes decoding landed too.

3/4 The libcurl HTTP backend gained ICY metadata support, reworked retries and hardening against malicious servers. More cookie fixes landed: cookies marked Secure are no longer sent over plain HTTP. HLS subtitle memory leaks were fixed too. Please test and report regressions!

4/4 13 more test programs now run under FATE. The swscale fuzzer now covers sws filters, and pooled memory is annotated for ASan, MSan and Valgrind. Opus encoder fixes were backported to the 9.0 branch. More decoder, demuxer and filter fixes landed. Thanks to all contributors!
