EWHA-CHAIN 18th Cohort | 4th Regular Session Recap โœจ

On October 06, EWHA-CHAIN held its fourth regular session at Ewha Womans University with @namyura_ from Sentient.

The first part of the session focused on the limitations of a closed AI ecosystem dependent on a few tech y of Open AI. Yura introduced Sentientโ€™s core initiatives, detailing how to protect open-source contributors' rights through Ownership and Provenance proofs, as well as the impact of Harness improvements on AI performance.

The second part shifted to building an open-source ecosystem and proving AI model ownership utilizing Fingerprinting technology. She shared diverse insights, introducing the ARENA platform and EvoSkillโ€”which continuously improves itself through inter-agent learningโ€”along with open AI infrastructure like ROMA and builder support programs.

We sincerely thank Yura Nam for sharing her experiences and valuable insights with us.

And thank you to everyone who joined us for the session!

Had an amazing session with @Ewhachain at Ewha Womans University ๐Ÿซ

Spoke to a room full of brilliant students about a question I keep coming back to:

If AI models can be copied in minutes โ€” who actually owns them?

That's the problem @SentientAGI is solving.

Covered a lot of Why AI infrastructure is dangerously concentrated
โ†’ How fingerprinting proves model ownership
โ†’ What open-source AI actually looks like in practice (EvoSkill, Arena, ROMA)

Huge thank you to everyone who showed up and asked such thoughtful questions : ) And stay tuned with @sentient_found 's upcoming updates!

๐Ÿ“Š On-Chain Data Analysis Project with Google Cloud ๐Ÿ“Š

Undergraduates rarely get the chance to work with real enterprise infrastructure. In this program, our members queried raw Ethereum and Solana transactions directly from BigQuery's public datasets.

Our sincere thanks to iiiiiiii for making this possible ๐Ÿ’š

๐Ÿง Two members documented what they found working directly with Google Cloud BigQuery.

โ‘  The Enterprise Blockchain Design Dilemma โ€” Chaeyun Cho (17th cohort, Computer Science '23)
Across roughly 16.45M valid contract calls on Ethereum (Jun 2 โ€“ Jul 1, 2026, excluding simple transfers), USDT and USDC alone accounted for over 75%. From there, the piece works through on-chain bottlenecks and the trade-offs of each mitigation pattern.
๐Ÿ”— bit.ly/onchain-offchaโ€ฆ

โ‘ก On-Chain Data Analysis: Weeks 1โ€“2 โ€” Yeju Jang (School of Software, Eltec College of Engineering)
A working log comparing Ethereum and Solana across usage, reliability, and active addresses.
๐Ÿ”— bit.ly/gcp-bigquery
๐Ÿ”— GitHub โ€” github.com/yeju0829/ewha-โ€ฆ

Learning Points
๐Ÿ“Œ A failed hypothesis is still a result โ€” We expected fees to rise with transaction volume. Over the period we examined, that didn't hold.
๐Ÿ“Œ Most of the work happens before you reach the data โ€” Dataset subscription steps, free-tier quotas, type errors in the visualization layer. Clearing these one by one was a large part of the job.

EWHA-CHAIN is a student organization built around hands-on industry projects.

Thank you to every partner who worked with us and to all our 17th cohort members โ€” and please look forward to what our 18th cohort takes on next.

Thank you ๐Ÿ’š

โœ Google ร— Solana AI Agentic Workshop recap, and our hands-on notes

On August 31, the @googlecloud ร— @SolanaFndn AI Agentic private workshop was held at Google's Seoul office. Fintech and financial institutions, along with companies building agent businesses, gathered to work d AI and Solana's payment rails connect in practice.

๐Ÿ“ Part 1 ใ…ฃThe New Agentic Economy with Google Cloud AI ร— Web3
@Jimiiiiiiiiii (Web3 Account Manager) made the case for why agentic commerce, and why now. She covered the approach of treating open protocols and crypto as a payment interface agents can read, illustrated with pay.sh, co-launched with the Solana Foundation. She also walked through the neutrality strategy behind donating ADK, A2A, and AP2 to external foundations โ€” lowering adoption barriers without locking anyone into a single vendor.

๐Ÿ“ Part 2 ใ…ฃAgent Payment on Google Cloud
Seongyul Bae (Customer Engineer, Cloocus) covered how AP2 actually gets implemented. He explained the structure that replaces screen-based authentication with headless signed mandates: the user signs once, the scope of amount, duration, and payment method is carried in the mandate, and that scope is independently verified at settlement. He also ran a live demo of an agent autonomously purchasing external data to deepen its analysis, and laid out โ€” from a practitioner's view โ€” what enterprises should prepare before adopting AP2.

๐Ÿ“ Part 3ใ…ฃBlockchain as the New Payment Infrastructure for the Agent Economy
@decentra1ized_ (APAC Tech, Solana Foundation) covered why blockchain becomes the financial rail for agent payments. She walked through how smart contracts, stablecoins, and wallets together make verifiable payment possible without a bank account, and closed on AP2 and x402 as complements rather than rivals โ€” AP2 handling trust and authorization, x402 handling execution.

Thanks to Google, Solana, Superteam Korea, and Cloocus for making this happen, and to Jimi Lee, Chaerin Kim, @kristintto, and Scott Lee. ๐Ÿ™‡โ€โ™€๏ธ

Who verifies the delegation scope?
Who cleans up the catalog so machines can read it?
And where does human approval need to remain?

The questions we ran into while building turned out to overlap exactly with what the industry was discussing at the workshop.

The questions we ran into while building found their place one by one through this workshop. It gave us a much clearer sense of where agentic commerce is heading, and we'll keep studying this space and sharing what we learn.

There's still far more to learn, but these two months gave us a real sense of the structure agentic commerce is being built on. We'll keep following where it goes. ๐ŸŒโœ๏ธ
