Many companies want to use generative AI, but sending sensitive company information to an external cloud service is not always an option.

The company Understand Tech is the AI application factory for semiconductor companies, standards organizations and regulated industries that their data.

Its platform combines purpose-built applications for test case generation, distribution enablement and software development with Understand Studio, which lets teams build their own apps by describing them.

With AI-in-a-Box, everything comes in one solution: the platform, Dell hardware on NVIDIA GB10 or GB300, maintenance and support. It runs inside the customer’s own infrastructure, even fully offline.

At electronica 2026, the company will officially launch its Distribution Enablement Portal, which turns thousands of pages of technical documentation into sourced answers and sales material for distributors.

Understand Tech already works with GSMA, Synaptics and EMVCo, and will be joining Electronica 2026 at stand B4.251/10.

Anyone who has developed embedded software knows how much time can be spent reading datasheets, configuring registers, integrating peripherals, and checking whether the software actually matches the hardware.

UK startup Embedd is trying to rethink that workflow.

The company e digital models of semiconductor devices.

These models can represent the structure, peripherals, registers, and behavior of a chip and can then be used to support software development, simulation, testing, and validation.

In other words, instead of important information remaining locked inside hundreds or thousands of pages of semiconductor documentation, Embedd wants to make that information directly usable by development tools.

The potential benefit is a faster and more automated path from hardware documentation to working embedded software.

As chips continue to become more complicated, reducing the amount of manual integration work could become increasingly important.

Embedd will be joining us at electronica 2026, and we are looking forward to seeing how its approach works in practice.

Power-electronics systems often operate in environments where decisions need to happen extremely quickly.

UK startup Weeteq is combining power electronics with edge AI to make those systems more intelligent.

Its technology is designed to monitor electrical systems at circuit s in their behavior, and react in real time.

The company is targeting applications such as motor drives, industrial automation, electric vehicles, energy systems, and data-center power infrastructure.

One of the interesting aspects of Weeteq's approach is speed.

Its Ultra Edge platform is designed for extremely low-latency decision-making, allowing AI-based control and monitoring to happen directly inside the system rather than relying on a remote cloud platform.

For applications involving motors, converters, grids, or other fast-changing electrical systems, those response times matter.

Weeteq will be joining Elektor at electronica 2026, where visitors will be able to learn more about how the company applies AI directly to power and control electronics.

Wearable electronics already measure movement, heart rate, sleep, temperature, and many other signals.

Swiss startup Liom is working to add another layer of information: continuous metabolic data.

The company is developing wearable sensing technology designed to measure skin without relying on conventional invasive sensors.

One of its main areas of focus is glucose measurement.

Liom combines optical sensing, photonics, electronics, data processing, and wearable-device engineering to try to extract useful metabolic information continuously.

The long-term idea is to combine that information with more familiar wearable measurements such as activity, cardiovascular signals, and sleep.

It is a technically demanding problem, particularly because biological measurements must be made reliably through skin while keeping the device practical enough for everyday use.

Liom will be joining us from Switzerland at electronica 2026, and we are looking forward to learning more about the engineering behind its sensing platform.
