#Lungcancer at 42. 13 years and 80+ rounds of chemo later, Graeme is back on skis & has just bought his first campervan.

Now the targeted treatment that kept him well has been withdrawn, & he's hoping for a place on a clinical trial.

Sara was diagnosed with stage 4 EGFR+ #lungcancer in 2023, after a cough that wouldn’t go away. 3 years on, targeted therapy is keeping her well, and she’s making the most of every day.

“Lung cancer has made me appreciate the littlest things. Sunrises, sunsets, daisies, and the ot sausage roll.”

“My life is different now, but I very much see it as a good life.”

Could it be more than a cough?

#Lungcancer can affect anyone. Symptoms to look out for include a cough that won't go away, breathlessness, fatigue, a hoarse voice, chest or shoulder pain, unexplained weight loss and chest infections that keep coming back.

If symptoms persist ason, speak to your GP and ask for a chest X-ray. Finding it early increases your options.

#Lungcancer can look like this.

Lung Cancer Awareness Month starts today, and All You Need Is Lungs is back for its 4th year.

Since 2023, our volunteers have shared their stories to show the real faces of lung cancer. This year we've caught up with them to hear what's happened and setbacks, plus family news, milestones, adventures and plenty of everyday life in between.

Sadly, not everyone is still with us. We remember the volunteers we've lost along the way, and we're so grateful to their families for letting their stories keep helping others.

To every one of our voices, past and present: thank you. You've shown thousands of people that lung cancer doesn't look a certain way.

"Lung cancer is the biggest cancer killer in Europe, and still we lower our voices when we say its name."

Lung Cancer Awareness Month starts tomorrow, and our President Debra Montague has a message: we need to talk about lung cancer more openly.

"People still think #lungcancer Anyone with lungs can get it."

What happens when osimertinib stops working? A major concern for our EGFR+ #lungcancer community.

SAFFRON Phase III: 17.8 vs 12.9 months median survival with osimertinib + savolitinib vs chemotherapy in MET-altered disease.

#ESMO2026 opened today in Madrid, and a big focus for EGFR+ #lungcancer is what happens when osimertinib stops working.

🔬 Here are 5 studies we’re watching, from new targeted combinations and antibody-drug conjugates to blood tests that could guide treatment decisions.

The embargo broke before #ESMO26 even opened.

Leaked results from INTerpath-001 show a personalised mRNA vaccine plus pembrolizumab lowered the risk of melanoma returning, or death, by 42%.

The same vaccine is already in Phase 3 trials for non-small cell #lungcancer. Like the testing it after surgery, when the removed tumour is used to build a vaccine for each person. That's why the lung trials focus on early-stage lung cancer, from high-risk stage I to IIIB.

Melanoma and lung cancer behave differently, so the lung trials need to report their own results. But this is the first Phase 3 evidence the approach can work.

How do scientists go from millions of possible molecules to a new treatment for EGFR+ #lungcancer?

Our latest Ask the Expert session is now available to watch, and it’s a fascinating look behind the scenes of drug discovery.

Geoff Holdgate, former Senior Principal Scientist at ed in the discovery of osimertinib and explains how scientists identify promising molecules, why developing a new drug can take more than 10 years, and how existing treatments can provide the starting point for new ones.

New research in EGFR+ #lungcancer.

A Phase 1b trial of firmonertinib showed promising results for uncommon EGFR PACC mutations, including responses in people with brain metastases.

Encouraging for our community, particularly those with fewer targeted treatment options. Larger mdanderson.org/newsroom/resea…

💜Introducing EGFR+ Lung Cancer UK 💚

We have a new name and a refreshed look, but we’re the same community. The people, the support and the welcome you know are all still here.

“We’ve put #lungcancer in our name so it’s clear what we do: support, connect and inform everyone cancer.” - Nicola Cowland, Chair

To everyone who has been part of this journey so far 🙏. This new chapter belongs to all of us. And if you’re newly diagnosed and finding us for the first time, welcome. No one should face EGFR+ feeling isolated or unheard. #LCSM

Love this slide, @maraantonoff!

In NSCLC, stage alone does NOT tell us the whole story.

Tumor biology absolutely matters.
