Two days ago it was Elissa Slotkin. Last week it was Jerome Powell. Before that, Mark Kelly. Weaponizing the justice system against your opponents is an authoritarian tactic.

The only person not being investigated for the shooting of Renee Good is the federal agent who shot her.

HAPPENING NOW: hundreds of students are here at the Capitol protesting ICE’s lawlessness and violence.

“No justice, no peace, no ICE in our streets!”

The Chicago Teachers Union stands in solidarity with Education Minnesota, educators, students, and families impacted by ICE violence this week.

ICE’s activity on school property and harm to students, educators and community members is unacceptable. Schools must be safe, udents and staff, not sites of fear and violence. ICE does not make our communities safer. It puts students, educators, and families at risk and undermines the right to learn and teach without terror.

We stand with Minnesota educators demanding that ICE respect sensitive locations and stay out of schools and school zones.
