Time for some personal news ™️, as this week I made the trek to the great state of Oregon to join the team at @dhnews and @gtnews. I will be covering Oregon State, specifically men’s basketball and baseball, and will be covering high school sports around Linn and Benton counties

Oregon State wins it 102-61 in Justin Joyner’s debut.

Seven Beavers in double figures, led by Daniel Freitag, who had 23.

Things to clean up, but really positive first night for the new-look Beavs.

Beavers up 43-35 at the break. Turnovers the reason they're not up more. Nine so far in the game.

Daniel Freitag leading the way with 14 points on 4-of-8 shooting. Is 5-of-5 at the line. But his aggresivness has led to three turnovers.

Beavers playing with pace, but just a bit wild right now. Three turnovers through the first 4+ minutes.

8-8, with freshman Jemai Lake getting his first bucket on a three-pointer.

The Justin Joyner era begins as Oregon State hosts Weber State to kick off the season.

Game is airing on the Pac-12 YouTube.

In case anyone was wondering, the heat in here still works like a charm.

Look, Oregon State is still in a solid spot to compete for the P12, especially if Madsen is out for Boise.

3rd loss means they’d need help for any playoff consideration. But plenty of issues to figure out first.

Well you also have to get stops

Not going to win with no touchdowns on three red zone trips. Not used to seeing this team struggle with finishing drives.

Well, Beavers are going to have to earn this one
